Abstract
La invención se refiere a un componente de un freno para un vehículo, que tiene un cuerpo base metálico el cual tiene una superficie (5a, 5b) la cual, para incrementar su resistencia al desgaste, está provista con un recubrimiento (B) que comprende una capa intermedia (Z) que yace sobre el cuerpo base (2) y una capa de cubierta (D) que yace sobre la capa intermedia (Z), cuya capa de cubierta (D) está formada a partir de una matriz de acero inoxidable (E) con partículas de material duro (HP) incrustadas en la misma. Con el fin de proporcionar dicho componente con propiedades adicionales de uso optimizado, la invención provee que las partículas de material duro (HP) incrustadas en la matriz de acero inoxidable (E) de la capa de cubierta (D) tengan un diámetro de grano promedio de 10 µm hasta 125 µm y que las partículas de material duro (HP) tengan una región de núcleo no fundida (K) que consiste en material no influenciado de las partículas de material duro (HP), cuya región de núcleo (K) está rodeada al menos en secciones por una zona de mezclado (M) formada a partir de material de la matriz de acero inoxidable (E) y material de la respectiva partícula de material duro (HP), mediante dicha zona de mezclado (M) las partículas de material duro (HP) están en cada caso unidas materialmente a la matriz de acero inoxidable (E). La invención también propone un método mediante el cual puede producirse un componente recubierto de esta manera.
