Abstract
Se describen procedimientos para producir ácido acético y, en particular, procedimientos mejorados para retirar un catión, tal como litio, y yoduros a partir de un procedimiento de carbonilación de baja energía para producir ácido acético purificado. En una modalidad, el catión, por ejemplo litio, se puede retirar utilizando un intercambiador catiónico antes de retirar los yoduros utilizando una resina de intercambio iónico intercambiada con metal.
