Abstract

Se produce ácido acético mientras al mismo tiempo se inhibe eficientemente la condensación de yoduro de hidrógeno en una columna de destilación (segunda columna de destilación) para purificar ácido acético crudo por destilación adicional; un procedimiento para producir ácido acético comprende un paso de recolección de ácido acético-para alimentar una primera columna de destilación con un componente volátil que contiene por lo menos acético ácido, acetato de metilo, yoduro de metilo, agua, y yoduro de hidrógeno, separando un primer componente de menor punto de ebullición como un destilado, y recolectar una primera corriente líquida que contiene principalmente ácido acético, y un paso de purificacón de ácido acético para alimentar una segunda columna de destilación con la primera corriente líquida, separando además un segundo componente de menor punto de ebullición como un destilado, y recolectando una segunda corriente líquida que contiene ácido acético, en donde un componente alcalino se agrega o se mezcla a la primera corriente líquida en las maneras (1) y/o (2) para destilar un objeto líquido a ser tratado que contiene la primera corriente líquida y el componente alcalino en la segunda columna: (1) el componente alcalino se agrega o se mezcla con la primera corriente líquida antes de que la primera corriente líquida sea alimentada a la segunda columna de destilación, (2) en la segunda columna de destilación, el componente alcalino se agrega o se mezcla en el mismo nivel de altura o en un nivel de altura superior que el nivel de altura en que se alimenta la primera corriente líquida.
