Abstract
Las aleaciones o metales de aporte de soldadura fuerte basados en Ni-Mn-Si que pueden ser aleaciones de aporte de soldadura fuerte ricas en níquel, ricas en manganeso o ricas en silicio, tienen intervalos de temperatura de fusión inesperadamente reducidos, temperaturas solidus y liquidus baja, de acuerdo a lo determinado por Calorimetría de Barrido Diferencial (DSC), exhibiendo a la vez una buena humectación y extensión, sin una formación significativa de boruro nocivos en el metal base y pueden soldarse a temperaturas más bajas. Las aleaciones ricas en níquel contienen del 58% en peso a 70% en peso de níquel, las aleaciones ricas en manganeso contienen de 55% a 62% en peso de manganeso y las aleaciones ricas en silicio contienen de 25% en peso a 29% en peso de silicio. Puede emplearse cobre con o sin boro para reemplazar parcialmente el níquel sin ningún incremento sustancial del punto de fusión o para reducir el punto de fusión. Las aleaciones de aporte de soldadura fuerte tienen capacidad de soldadura suficiente para resistir condiciones de alta temperatura para intercambiadores de calor aeronáuticos de pared delgada y otros.
