Abstract
Se divulgan en la presente métodos para la producción de bacteriófagos mutantes con un rango de hospederos alterado. Adicionalmente, se divulgan en la presente métodos y sistemas para la rápida detección de microorganismos tales como Listeria spp. en una muestra. También se divulga un bacteriófago genéticamente modificado que comprende un gen indicador en la región de gen tardío. La especificidad del bacteriófago, como el bacteriófago específico de Listeria, permite la detección de un microorganismo específico, como Listeria spp. y una señal indicadora puede amplificarse para optimizar la sensibilidad del ensayo.
