Abstract

La presente invención es concerniente con nuevas formas polimórficas cristalinas y amorfas del compuesto (E)-2-{2-[6-(2-cianofenoxi)pirimidin-4-iloxi]fenil}-3-metoxi-acri lato (azoxistrobina). Se proporcionan espectros de Raman infrarrojos, el patrón de difracción en polvo de rayos X y el termograma de calorimetría de barrido diferencial de dos polimorfos "A" y "B". Además, la presente invención también proporciona métodos para preparar las nuevas formas polimórficas "A" y "B", también como procesos para producir mezclas de los polimorfos y un proceso para preparar azoxistrobina amorfa. Todavía además, la presente invención proporciona composiciones anti-fungales que comprenden los nuevos polimorfos cristalinos "A" y "B" o azoxistrobina amorga, que son útiles para controlar y combatir hongos que crecen en cultivos agrícolas y hortícolas y tierra elevada y métodos para usar los mismos como agentes pesticidas para combatir hongos en cultivos agrícolas y hortícolas.
