Abstract

Se describe un monitor de desgaste de cadena de transportador o de transmisión que incluye dos sensores separados entre sí a una distancia predeterminada que es menor que la distancia entre los dos puntos de medición seleccionados en una cadena. Se proveen dos temporizadores, uno de los cuales es un temporizador de velocidad de cadena y el otro de los cuales es el temporizador de desgaste de cadena. Los dos temporizadores son ambos controlados por los sensores espaciados. El problema de que los haces de los sensores se rompen por los obstáculos que rompen el haz irrelevantes situados entre los puntos de medición espaciados sucesivos se resuelve al proveer una rutina de elementos de programación (software) que ignora obstáculos en la computadora del monitor de desgaste. La rutina de los elementos de programación (software) de ignorar obstáculos permite a un usuario programar el monitor para ignorar cualquier número de obstáculos irrelevantes que podrían ocurrir entre dos puntos de medición espaciados en una cadena.
