Abstract

Un dispositivo para recoger una muestra biológica de una superficie semisólida. El dispositivo tiene un eje con un extremo proximal y un extremo distal y una punta integrada con el eje del extremo proximal. La punta tiene una superficie adaptada para recoger microorganismos en ella o liberar microorganismos desde ella, o ambos, donde la superficie adaptada comprende al menos un elemento entre rebaje o extensión para aumentar el área superficial de la punta y recoger los microorganismos en ella. Entre los ejemplos de dichos elementos se incluyen microelementos con dimensiones de aproximadamente 1000 µm o menos. Otros ejemplos incluyen una punta de pipeta.
