Abstract

La presente invención proporciona una composición de fibra de vidrio, una fibra de vidrio y un material compuesto de la misma. La composición de fibra de vidrio comprende los siguientes componentes expresados como porcentaje en peso: 58-64% SiO2, 14-19% A12O3, =8.8% y <11.8% CaO, 7.5-11% MgO, 0.2-2.7% SrO, 0.1-2% Na2O+K2O, 0.05-0.9% Li2O, 0.05-1% Fe2O3, 0.05-1.1% TiO2 y <0.5% F2, en donde el intervalo de la relación porcentual en peso C1=(MgO+SrO)/CaO es 0.75-1.1, y el intervalo de la relación porcentual en peso C2=CaO/MgO es menor que 1.4. La composición puede inhibir eficazmente la tendencia a la cristalización del vidrio, disminuir significativamente la temperatura de fusión y el grado de cristalización del vidrio y también tiene un excelente índice de refracción del vidrio y módulo excepcional.
