Abstract

Se describe un método fácil y directo de alquilación de alcoholes de anhidorazúcar (isohexidas) usando un reactivo de carbonato. El método de alquilación implica: a) poner en contacto, en una solución, una isohexida con un carbonato de dialquilo, dialilo, o diarilo, y la solución incluye una base de brØnsted; y b) producir al menos un éter alquílico o carbonato de alquilo del compuesto de isohexida. La reacción de alquilación se realiza in situ, es decir, sin un catalizador extrínseco. De acuerdo con el método, se pueden sintetizar diversos éteres y carbonatos.
