Abstract

Método para producir borohidruro de metal y/o H₂. El método comprende los siguientes pasos: A) producir un borohidruro de metal en un proceso de síntesis, en el cual el H₂ es un reactivo y la reacción además utiliza hidróxido de metal y óxido de boro o además utiliza óxido de boro y metal; B) producir H₂ en un proceso de reacción química, en el cual se usan como reactivos el borohidruro de metal que se produce en el paso A y H₂O, donde la cantidad de H₂ que se produce en el paso B es mayor que la cantidad de H₂ necesaria como reactivo en el paso A para las mismas cantidades de borohidruro de metal que se usa como reactivo y de un producto de reacción de los pasos B y A, respectivamente; y C) proveer al paso A el H₂ que se produce en el paso C, y repetir los pasos A, B y C. Retirar parte del borohidruro de metal y/o el H₂ que se produce en los pasos A y B, respectivamente, pero dejando una cantidad de borohidruro de metal y H₂, respectivamente, de manera que se puedan repetir los pasos A, B y C.
