Abstract

La invención se refiere a un proceso para preparar 1,3-butadieno mediante deshidrogenación oxidativa heterogéneamente catalizada de n-buteno, en el cual se proporciona una mezcla de buteno que comprende al menos 2-buteno. El problema que se afronta es aquel de especificar un proceso para la preparación económicamente viable de 1,3-butadieno en una escala industrial, que se proporciona con una mezcla de buteno como materia prima, en donde el contenido de 1-buteno es comparativamente bajo en comparación al contenido de 2-buteno de la misma, y en el que se somete a variación la relación de 1-buteno a 2-buteno. Este problema se soluciona por un proceso de dos etapas en el cual, en una primera etapa, la mezcla de buteno proporcionada se somete a una isomerización heterogéneamente catalizada para obtener una mezcla de buteno al menos parcialmente isomerizada, y en la cual la mezcla de buteno al menos parcialmente isomerizada, obtenida en la primera etapa, entonces se somete, en una segunda etapa, a deshidrogenación oxidativa. El proceso de dos etapas conduce a mayores rendimientos de butadieno en comparación al proceso de una etapa.
