Abstract

Se proporciona un método para eliminar SOx de un gas mediante el uso de una solución compuesta de etilenglicol. La solución compuesta de etilenglicol se elabora mediante mezcla de etilenglicol y/o polietilenglicol con un ácido orgánico y/o sal de ácido orgánico que no contiene ningún átomo de nitrógeno en una molécula, la solución compuesta de etilenglicol se pone en contacto con el gas que contiene SOx para absorber el SOx en el gas, en donde x = 2 y/o 3. La solución compuesta de etilenglicol con SOx absorbido se regenera mediante uno o más de un método de calentamiento, un método de vacío, un método de separación de gas, un método con ultrasonido, un método con microondas y un método con radiación para liberar subproductos de dióxido de azufre y trióxido de azufre y la solución compuesta de etilenglicol regenerada se recicla para su uso. Este método se puede usar para la desulfuración del gas de combustión, gas de quema, gas de horno de coque, gas residual de síntesis de plantas de colorantes, gas de aguas residuales de plantas de fibras químicas y otros gases que se usan como materias primas industriales o gases residuales que contienen SOx.
