Abstract

La presente invención describe composiciones que comprenden sulfato de condroitina (CS), una o más enzimas o mezclas enzimáticas que tienen actividad proteolítica, y compuestos sulfhidrilo, para el tratamiento y prevención de osteoartrítis y procesos inflamatorios agudos y crónicos correlacionados, o como composiciones nutraceúticas para el mantenimiento del bienestar musculoesquelético en humanos y animales; la característica de dichas combinaciones es que incrementan la absorción intestinal de CS cuando se administran de manera oral; el efecto de dichas combinaciones se ejerce en una amplia gama de pesos moleculares de CS, incluyendo muestras de CS con pesos moleculares muy bajos que ya poseen mayor biodisponibilidad que la de muestras con un peso molecular mayor; el efecto se ejerce en muestras de CS de cualquier origen.
