Abstract

La presente invención proporciona las secuencias del ácido nucleico y el aminoácido de un citocromo P450 capaz de oxidar las moléculas de terpeno. También se provee un método de oxidación de las moléculas de terpeno que comprende poner en contacto el citocromo P450 de la invención con la molécula de terpeno propuesta para que sea oxidada. En particular, el método puede ser llevado a cabo in vitro o in vivo para producir moléculas de terpeno oxidadas, las cuales pueden ser utilizadas en diferentes campos técnicos tales como por ejemplo en perfumería y en saborizantes. La presente invención también provee un vector de expresión que contiene el ácido nucleico. También es un objeto de la invención una célula u organismo hospedero no humano transformado con el ácido nucleico.
