Abstract

La presente invención proporciona el ácido nucleico y las secuencias de aminoácidos de un citocromo P450 capaz de oxidar moléculas de terpeno. También proporciona los métodos para oxidar las moléculas de terpeno, que comprenden poner en contacto el citocromo P450 con la molécula de terpeno destinada a oxidarse. En particular, el método puede llevarse a cabo in vitro o in vivo para producir moléculas de terpeno oxidadas, que pueden usarse en diferentes campos técnicos tales como, por ejemplo, perfumería y saborizantes. La presente invención también proporciona un vector de expresión que contiene el ácido nucleico. Un organismo hospedero no humano o una célula transformada con el ácido nucleico también es un objeto de la invención.
