Abstract
Un aparato y método para mejorar el desempeño del vehículo mediante la aplicación del impulso neumático a los motores del vehículo, que incluyen motores diesel que tiene al menos un turbosobralimentador que suministra aire al motor, de forma que aumenta la salida de par del motor mientras que minimiza la posibilidad de exceder varios limites de funcionamiento al punto máximo practicable. El controlador del sistema del impulsor neumático del vehículo implementa estrategias para ajustar la velocidad de la inyección de aire durante un evento de impulso, adaptando la inyección de aire para obtener la salida de par del motor máxima mientras que respeta los limites de funcionamiento, al controlar la temporización, duración, cantidad y/o patrón de inyección durante un evento de impulso para lograr una distribución refinada de inyección de aire comprimido durante el transcurso del evento de impulso para proporcionar una salida de par del motor deseada y eficacia de combustible mientras se minimiza la posibilidad de exceder una amplia variedad de limites de funcionamiento, regulatorios de ingeniería y limites de comodidad de los pasajeros.
