Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un proceso para producir un sol acuoso concentrado de nanotitania en el intervalo de pH leve (4.0 a 10.0) que comprende poner en contacto un sol de nanotitania ácida con un dispersante y con un agente alcalinizante, y someter el sol de nanotitania a filtración con membrana hasta que el sol de nanotitania contenga más de 300 g de nanoparticulas de TiO2/dm3. El sol de nanotitania además puede ser sometido a un tratamiento de recubrimiento dentro de cualquiera de los pasos del proceso anteriormente descrito. El sol acuoso concentrado de nanotitania de esta descripción es adecuado para usarse en una variedad de aplicaciones, que incluyen la provisión de protección UV y degradar fotoquímicamente o inactivar contaminantes.
