Abstract
Un material térmicamente expansible que comprende: a) de 3 a 40% en peso de un primer elastómero termoplástico que tiene una primera temperatura de transición vítrea, b) de 3 a 40% en peso de un segundo elastómero termoplástico que tiene una segunda temperatura de transición vítrea donde la primera y segunda temperatura de transición vítrea difieren por al menos 10°C, c) de 5 a 50% en peso de por lo menos un polímero termoplástico seleccionado del grupo que consiste de polímeros y copolímeros con al menos un enlace doble polimerizable C = C, d) de O a 30% en peso de por lo menos una resma espesante, e) por lo menos un agente de soplado químico latente en una cantidad efectiva para provocar que el material se expansible se expanda por lo menos al 50% en volumen cuando se calienta a una temperatura de 150°C durante al menos 20 minutos, donde la suma de los componentes a) a e) es menor que el 100% en peso, y el resto en 100% en peso se forma de componentes adicionales o adyuvantes. De preferencia, el material comprende: un primer elastómero termoplástico que tiene una temperatura de transición vítrea en el margen de -25 a 0.0°C, un segundo elastómero termoplástico el cual tiene una temperatura de transición vítrea en el margen de 0.1 a 30°C, por lo menos un polímero termoplástico c) seleccionado del grupo que consiste de copolímero de acetato de etilen/vinilo y copolímero deacrilato de etilen/metilo, por lo menos un agente de soplado químico latente, por lo menos un agente de curado basado en compuestos de azufre y/o sulfuro. El material puede utilizarse para varias aplicaciones de amortiguamiento de sonido como barreras de ondas vibratorias disipativas, amortiguamiento de sonido de ensambles de panel de cierre de automóvil, inserciones de relleno de cavidad, y estructuras de amortiguamiento de capa restringida.
