Abstract
La invención se relaciona con un método para la producción de una unión de acero estructural resistente en que se forma una unión (13) clinchada mediante un troquel (20) y una herramienta (30) complementaria usando deformación local, uniendo la unión una primera pieza (6.1, 6.2) de trabajo metálica con una segunda pieza (6.3, 6.4) de trabajo metálica. Con este fin, la primera pieza (6.1, 6.2) de trabajo metálica y la segunda pieza (6.3, 6.4) de trabajo metálica son colocadas primeramente una encima de la otra en una superficie de mecanización de la herramienta complementaria y alineada. A continuación el troquel de la herramienta de troquel es aplicada y embutido en la dos piezas (6,1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4) de trabajo metálicas colocadas una encima de la otra, hasta que la unión (13) clinchada haya sido formada mediante deformación plástica. La primera pieza (6.1, 6.2) de trabajo metálica tiene un primer grosor (t1) de pieza de trabajo y la segunda pieza (6.3, 6.4) de trabajo metálica tiene un segundo grosor (t2) de pieza de trabajo que dan en conjunto un grosor (tt) de piezas de trabajo total, el cual es más grande que 8 mm. El troquel está configurado con simetría rotacional respecto al eje (24) de rotación y tiene una zona (21, 22) de contorno cónico que disminuye a un ángulo (W, W1, W2) en la dirección de bajada del troquel.
