Abstract

Se describe un sistema (100) y un método para la evaluación clínica de una enfermedad neurodegenerativa presente en un sujeto. El sistema (100) comprende un módulo (122) de adquisición de datos que opera para adquirir datos de imagen representativos del cerebro de un sujeto y un analizador (124) de imagen. El analizador (124) de imagen opera para determinar un valor cuantitativo a partir de los datos de imagen que es indicativo del nivel de la enfermedad neurodegenerativa presente en el cerebro del sujeto. Varias modalidades de la invención proporcionan una herramienta que ayuda a un diagnóstico temprano mejorado y al monitoreo de enfermedades neurodegenerativas, tal como por ejemplo, la enfermedad de Alzheimer (AD).
