Abstract

Una mezcla de polímeros que comprende polipropileno y polietileno, en donde un artículo formado de la mezcla de polímeros tiene una tenacidad de mayor que 6.5 g/9000 m. Un método para preparar una mezcla de polímeros que comprende mezclar un polipropileno de alta cristalinidad y un polietileno de alta densidad, en donde el polietileno está presente en una cantidad de 1% en peso a 30% en peso basado en el peso total de la mezcla de polímeros, y extruir la mezcla de polímeros, en donde la mezcla de polímeros extruida tiene una tenacidad mayor que 6.5 g/9000 m. Un método para preparar una mezcla de polímeros que comprende preparar una mezcla de polímeros que comprende un homopolímero de polipropileno y un polietileno de alta densidad, en donde el homopolímero de polipropileno tiene un punto de fusión de 155ºC a 170ºC, y formar la mezcla de polímeros en un monofilamento que tiene una tenacidad mayor que 6.5 g/9000 m y una relación de estiramiento de 4:1 a 20:1.
