Abstract
Se prevee un método para la detección de una porción anormal (defecto, porción no adherente, y porción atrapada) yacente en una región de contacto entre cada parte de un perno y cada parte de una caja que juntos forman una junta roscada para uso como una unión entre tubos o ductos tales como OCTG. La presente invención ofrece un método de prueba ultrasónica de una junta roscada de tuberías que incluye un perno con una parte roscada externa, una parte de sello metálico, y un borde sobresaliente en una superficie periférica externa, y una caja con una parte roscada interna, una parte de sello metálico, y un borde sobresaliente que corresponden con cada parte del perno en una superficie periférica interna, y conectados con el perno mediante un lubricante. El método, de acuerdo con la presente invención que comprende los pasos de: transmisión y recepción de ondas ultrasónicas hacia y desde una pluralidad de ubicaciones a lo largo de una dirección axial de la junta roscada en por lo menos una de las siguientes: la parte roscada interna, la parte del sello metálico, y el borde sobresaliente de la caja; detección de intensidades de eco y tiempos de recepción de ecos para la pluralidad de ubicaciones; y detección de una porción anormal en la junta roscada con base en la distribución direccional axial de las intensidades de eco y distribución direccional axial de tiempos de recepción de ecos.
