Abstract

Oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer en fremgangsmåte for ultralydtesting av gjengeforbindelser mellom rør, omfattende en bolt med et utvendig gjengeparti, et metalltetningsparti og et skulderparti på en ytre omkretsoverflate og en hylse med et innvendig gjengeparti, et metalltetningsparti og et skulderparti som tilsvarer hver del av bolten på en indre omkretsflate og som festes mot bolten ved hjelp av et smøremiddel. Fremgangsmåten i følge den foreliggende oppfinnelsen omfatter stegene å sende og motta ultralydbølger til og fra en gruppe steder langs en aksial retning av gjengeforbindelsen i minst ett av det innvendige gjengepartiet, metalltetningspartiet og skulderpartiet av hylsen, å detektere ekkointensiteter og mottakstider for ekkoer fra gruppen av steder, og å detektere en avvikende del i gjengeforbindelsen basert på fordelingen av ekkoer i aksial retning og fordelingen av ekkoenes mottakstider i aksial retning.
