Abstract
Se proporciona un sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida que incluye un recipiente que se encuentra conectado de manera fluida a un sitio de tejido y que se encuentra configurado para recibir el fluido extraído del sitio de tejido bajo la influencia de una presión reducida. Una fuente de presión reducida proporciona la presión reducida y se encuentra conectada de manera fluida al sitio de tejido mediante una trayectoria de comunicación de fluido, que puede incluir un conducto de la fuente, el recipiente y un conducto del objetivo. Un dispositivo detector se comunica con el conducto de la fuente y se configura para detectar la presión en el conducto de la fuente. Una válvula se comunica con el conducto de la fuente y se configura para ventilar la presión reducida. SISTEMA Y METODO PARA DETERMINAR EL ESTADO LLENO DE UN RECIPIENTE PARA FLUIDO EN UN SISTEMA DE TRATAMIENTO DE
PRESIÓN REDUCIDA
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓN 1. Campo de la Invención La presente invención se refiere en general a dispositivos médicos y más específicamente a métodos y sistemas de detección para determinar el estado lleno de un recipiente para fluido utilizado con dispositivos médicos.
2. Descripción de la Técnica Relacionada El tratamiento de heridas y llagas abiertas tales como úlceras de decúbito y las úlceras encontradas en los pies de diabéticos, es problemático. El tratamiento adecuado de tales heridas, que frecuentemente se infectan con patógenos bacterianos, es multifactorial . Se requiere comúnmente cirugía para retirar el tejido muerto y necrótico. Si es posible se utilizan antibióticos para inhibir el crecimiento o eliminar las bacterias patógenas. Al mismo tiempo, es necesaria una nutrición adecuada para mantener el estado de salud del paciente y de manera más importante, es esencial un cuidado adecuado de la herida para la cicatrización de la herida o llaga. El cuidado adecuado de la herida requiere mantener limpia y seca la herida. Cuando la herida se infecta, el

tejido subyacente produce fluidos serosos y posiblemente un exudado purulento, ambos de los cuales tienen que retirarse para promover la cicatrización de la herida. Los métodos tradicionales para el retiro de los fluidos antes mencionados requieren un lavado mecánico de la herida y el secado de la herida con esponjas. Este procedimiento no es solo doloroso para el paciente sino aumenta también la posibilidad de una superinfección de la herida por bacterias introducidas en la herida durante el tratamiento. Una alternativa a este lavado mecánico de la herida abierta es un dispositivo para el cierre de la herida por presión negativa. Este dispositivo de cierre de herida por presión negativa consiste de una almohadilla de espuma que se coloca sobre la herida para formar un sello a prueba de filtración y relativamente hermético al aire alrededor de la herida. El dispositivo de cierre de herida por presión negativa tiene también una bomba de vacio acoplada de manera fluida a la almohadilla que se fija sobre la herida del paciente. Cuando se activa la bomba de vacio, se crea una presión negativa adentro de la almohadilla que cubre la herida. Los fluidos producidos por la herida se retiran a través de la almohadilla de espuma mediante la presión negativa y se transportan a través de un tubo que conecta la almohadilla de espuma con un recipiente. El recipiente recolecta los fluidos retirados de la herida. Cuando el
- - recipiente se encuentra lleno de fluido se retira de la herida, se vacia el recipiente y se restablece el acoplamiento con el sistema de vacio. Se han hecho intentos para alertar el usuario cuando el recipiente se encuentra lleno de fluido de la herida. Estos métodos han tenido como objetivo medir directamente la cantidad de fluido de la herida en el recipiente. Sin embargo, los métodos existentes de medición directa de la cantidad de fluido de la herida en el recipiente han probado no ser confiables debido generalmente a que el fluido de la herida es viscoso. También el fluido frecuentemente forma espuma, burbujas y atrapa aire, lo cual puede dar como resultado un fluido que no se asienta en el fondo del recipiente. Existe una necesidad en la técnica para un sistema y método confiables para alertar al usuario cuando el recipiente para la recolección del fluido de la herida se encuentra lleno y necesita vaciarse. SUMARIO DE LA INVENCIÓN Los problemas con los sistemas de detección para recipientes existentes, se resuelven mediante los sistemas y método de la presente invención. De acuerdo con una modalidad de la presente invención, se proporciona un método para detectar el estado lleno de un recipiente para fluido en un sistema de tratamiento de tejido. El método incluye, crear una presión reducida en una trayectoria de comunicación

de fluido del sistema para el tratamiento de tejido y aplicar la presión reducida en el sitio de tejido. El fluido se recolecta del sitio de tejido en el recipiente. Se libera la presión reducida y se mide la disminución de la presión reducida. Se determina el estado lleno a partir de la disminución medida. En otra modalidad de la presente invención, un sistema para el tratamiento de presión reducida incluye un recipiente conectado de manera fluida al sitio de tejido y se configura para recibir el fluido extraído del sitio de tejido bajo la influencia de la presión reducida. Se configura una fuente de presión reducida para proporcionar la presión reducida y se conecta de manera fluida al sitio de tejido mediante una trayectoria de comunicación de fluido. La trayectoria de comunicación de fluido incluye un conducto de la fuente, el recipiente y un conducto del objetivo. El recipiente se coloca entre la fuente de presión reducida y el sitio de tejido y se conecta de manera fluida a la fuente de presión reducida mediante el conducto de la fuente. conducto de la fuente para ventilar de manera selectiva la presión reducida. Una unidad procesadora se encuentra en comunicación con el dispositivo detector y la válvula. La unidad procesadora se configura para abrir la válvula durante una cantidad de tiempo seleccionada, recibir los datos de detección provenientes del dispositivo detector durante la cantidad de tiempo seleccionada para determinar la disminución de la presión reducida y determinar el estado lleno del recipiente en base a la disminución de la presión reducida. En aún otra modalidad de la presente invención, un sistema para el tratamiento de presión reducida incluye una fuente de presión reducida para proporcionar la presión reducida. Se coloca una almohadilla porosa en el sitio de tejido y se conecta de manera fluida a la fuente de presión reducida. Se conecta de manera fluida un recipiente entre la almohadilla porosa y la fuente de presión reducida para recolectar el fluido extraído del sitio de tejido. El sistema incluye además una válvula de solenoide que se conecta de manera fluida a un conducto entre el recipiente y la fuente de presión reducida. Se proporciona medios para determinar la disminución de presión en el conducto cuando la válvula de solenoide se abre. DESCRIPCIÓN DETALLADA DE LA MODALIDAD PREFERIDA En la siguiente descripción detallada de las modalidades ilustrativas, se hace referencia a los dibujos acompañantes que forman parte de la misma. El término "presión reducida" como se utiliza en la presente se refiere a una presión menor a la presión ambiente en el sitio de tejido que se encuentra sometido al tratamiento. En la mayoría de los casos, esta presión reducida será menor que la presión atmosférica a la cual se encuentra el paciente. Aunque los términos "vacío" y "presión negativa" pueden utilizarse para describir la

presión aplicada a el sitio de tejido, la presión real aplicada al sitio de tejido puede ser significativamente menor que la presión normalmente asociada con un vacio total. Consistente con esta nomenclatura, un aumento en la presión reducida o presión por vacio se refiere a una reducción relativa de la presión absoluta, mientras que una disminución en la presión reducida o presión por vacio se refiere a un aumento relativo de la presión absoluta. El término "sitio del tejido" como se utiliza en' la presente se refiere a una herida o defecto ubicado sobre o dentro de cualquier tejido, incluyendo pero sin limitarse a, tejido óseo, tejido adiposo, tejido muscular, tejido dérmico, tejido vascular, tejido conectivo, cartílagos, tendones, o ligamentos. El término "sitio del tejido" puede además referirse a áreas de cualquier tejido que no se encuentren necesariamente heridas o defectuosas, si no que son áreas en las cuales se desea agregar o promover el crecimiento de tejido adicional. Por ejemplo, el tratamiento de tejido por presión reducida puede utilizarse en ciertas áreas de tejido para producir tejido adicional que puede recolectarse y trasplantarse a otro sitio del tejido. En referencia a la Figura 1, un sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 11 incluye una almohadilla porosa 20, u otro colector de distribución colocado en el sitio de tejido 15. La almohadilla porosa 20 se conecta de

manera fluida a un recipiente 17 mediante un conducto del objetivo 21. Una fuente de presión reducida 19 se conecta de manera fluida al recipiente 17 mediante un conducto de fuente 24. Cuando se encuentra en operación, la fuente de presión reducida 19 suministra una presión reducida al sitio de tejido a través de una trayectoria de comunicación de fluido, la cual colectivamente comprende el conducto de fuente 24, el recipiente 17 y el conducto del objetivo 21. Una válvula de solenoide u otra válvula adecuada 18, se adapta al conducto de fuente 24 y, cuando se abre, sirve para liberar la presión reducida dentro de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido hacia la atmósfera. La válvula de solenoide 10 puede comunicarse y controlarse mediante una unidad procesadora 26, la cual se describe con más detalle a continuación. La unidad procesadora 26 puede comunicarse además con un dispositivo detector 28 que se utiliza para determinar la presión en el conducto de fuente 24. El sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 11 es capaz de determinar confiablemente el estado lleno de un recipiente (i.e., ya sea que el recipiente se encuentre lleno o no de fluido) . El sistema 11 depende de que el volumen de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido se encuentre fijo y por lo tanto, la descarga de vacio de este volumen conocido debe ocurrir dentro de un tiempo determinado después de que

se abre la válvula 18. Cuando la unidad procesadora 26 detecta un bloqueo dentro de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido mediante cualquier método detector de bloqueo confiable, la unidad procesadora 26 señala a la válvula 18 que se abra durante una cantidad de tiempo seleccionada (e.g., 1 segundo) para ventilar la presión reducida de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido hacia la atmósfera. La unidad procesadora 26 recibe datos de detección provenientes del dispositivo detector 28 y monitorea la disminución de presión a través de este periodo de 1 segundo. Si la presión disminuye rápidamente, entonces la unidad procesadora 26 determina que el recipiente 17 se encuentra lleno ya que el volumen de la cámara que se ventila es pequeño. Por consiguiente, la unidad procesadora 26 señalará una alarma si se determina el estado lleno del recipiente. Si la disminución es lenta, lo cual significa que en el periodo de 1 segundo que la válvula de solenoide 18 se encuentra abierta, el vacio no disminuye a un nivel predeterminado, la unidad procesadora 26 concluirá que el recipiente 17 no se encuentra lleno. La unidad procesadora asumirá entonces que la condición de bloqueo originalmente detectada es causada por un bloqueo real en el conducto del objetivo 21 y no una condición llena de recipiente. La unidad procesadora 26 en este caso particular puede señalar a una alarma separada para que indique la presencia de un

bloqueo. Preferentemente, las alarmas utilizadas para notificar al usuario acerca de un recipiente lleno de fluido de herida y un bloqueo en el conducto del objetivo 21 a través del cual fluye el fluido de herida, son separadas y distintas. La disminución de la presión reducida puede determinarse de varias maneras. Por ejemplo, la disminución puede determinarse midiendo la reducción en la presión reducida (i.e., un aumento en la presión absoluta) a través de una cantidad de tiempo seleccionada después de la apertura de la válvula 18. Como otro ejemplo, la disminución puede determinarse midiendo la cantidad de tiempo que se requiere para que la presión reducida descienda a una presión de umbral. La disminución en la presión reducida puede también determinarse midiendo la reducción de la proporción de flujo en el conducto de fuente 24 a través de la cantidad de tiempo seleccionada después de la apertura de la válvula 18. Pueden utilizarse también otros métodos para medir la disminución de la presión reducida de una manera similar y se contemplan dentro del alcance de las modalidades ilustrativas. Pueden emplearse componentes adicionales junto con las modalidades ilustrativas para determinar mejor el estado lleno del recipiente 17. Por ejemplo, el conducto del objetivo 21 que conecta al recipiente 17 a la almohadilla porosa 20, a través del cual fluyen los fluidos de la herida,

puede incluir una válvula opcional 25. El cierre de la válvula 25 al momento de ventilarse hacia la atmósfera a través de la válvula 18 puede indicar que el volumen dentro del recipiente se encuentra vacio. Deduciendo de esta indicación de volumen vacio y conociendo la geometría del recipiente, puede determinarse el nivel de fluido en el recipiente y, si se monitorea periódicamente, también puede determinarse la proporción de flujo de secreción del sitio de tejido 15. Refiriéndose aún a la Figura 1, pero también a la
Figura 2, la unidad procesadora 26 puede contenerse dentro de un alojamiento de la unidad de terapia 40 que puede también alojar la fuente de presión reducida 19, el dispositivo detector 28 y la válvula 18. La unidad procesadora 26 puede configurarse con uno o más procesadores que son del mismo o diferente tipo. Por ejemplo, la unidad procesadora 26 puede incluir uno o más procesadores, componentes lógicos, análogos o cualquier otro equipo electrónico que permita recibir señales que incluyan información, tales como la presión del fluido en varias ubicaciones en el sistema. La unidad procesadora 26 ejecuta el software 208 y puede además comunicarse con (i) una memoria 210 para almacenar datos y el código de software, (ii) una unidad de entrada/salida (E/S) 218 para comunicarse con otros dispositivos y sistemas, tales como válvulas o dispositivos

detectores, de manera inalámbrica, mediante un cable, o mediante un dispositivo de entrada de memoria, (iii) una unidad de almacenamiento 222 que puede almacenar uno o más diccionarios de datos 226a-226n (colectivamente 226) , tal como la base de datos que tenga uno o más archivos (iv) una pantalla electrónica 234 que puede o no ser sensible al tacto y (v) una o más alarmas 238 que sean capaces de la señalización al usuario del sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida utilizando señales de audio, visuales u otras. El software 208 puede configurarse para interconectarse con cada uno de los otros dispositivos (e.g., una pantalla electrónica 234) para permitir el manejo y observación del tratamiento de presión reducida. DATOS DE PRUEBA Con referencia a la Figura 3, esta figura describe una representación gráfica de los resultados de una prueba conducida con un sistema similar al sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida 11. En esta prueba, se notó una variación en el tiempo de disminución contra el nivel de llenado a 125 mmHg para un recipiente cerrado. El recipiente se llenó a varios niveles de agua desde vacio hasta 500 mi con incrementos de 50 mi. La presión negativa para la terapia de herida se estableció en 125 mmHg y el sistema se corrió hasta que se detuvo la bomba a ligeramente por arriba de la presión objetivo. Se suspendió entonces la terapia y se aplicó una
infiltración natural para llevar la presión por debajo de los 125 mmHg . En este punto se operó la válvula para ventilar el recipiente hacia la atmósfera. Se registró el perfil de presión en 10 muestras por segundo. Se condujo también la misma prueba con una herida grande estándar unida al sistema y dio como resultado las gráficas de la Figura 6. Refiriéndose a la Figura 4, esta figura describe una representación gráfica de los resultados de una prueba en la cual se observaron las diferencias en los tiempos de disminución entre recipientes lleno y casi lleno a varias presiones con heridas grandes. Se preparó una espuma y un aposito para heridas grandes estándar sobre una base de plástico y se ajustó con una almohadilla de suministro de presión reducida para permitir gue la jeringa inyectara liquido a fin de llenar el recipiente y ocasionar una alarma de bloqueo. Se graficaron dos conjuntos de curvas a presiones de terapia de desde 50 hasta 400 mmHg, una a un nivel de fluido de 450 mi y una con un recipiente lleno de drenaje de la herida hasta que se activó la alarma de bloqueo. Se selecciono el valor de 450 mi debido a que se requirió un nivel de llenado tal alto como fue posible para el recipiente especifico utilizado, consistente con la falta de alarma por bloqueo. Esta situación se contempló como el peor caso, en el entendimiento de que si el sistema puede diferenciar entre las dos situaciones a un alto nivel, seria

solo más fácil que el nivel se redujera. El recipiente se llenó a 450 mi y se adquirió una presión ligeramente por arriba de la presión objetivo. La bomba de vacio se suspendió y a medida que la infiltración descendió la presión al nivel objetivo, se abrió la válvula de ventilación como se describió anteriormente. Para la familia de curvas bloqueadas, se llenó el recipiente inyectando agua en la herida y funcionando bajo condiciones de terapia normales. Se muestran los resultados de esta prueba en la Figura 4. Con referencia a la Figura 5, esta figura describe una representación gráfica de los resultados de una prueba en la cual se observaron las diferencias en la disminución entre los niveles de lleno y otros niveles de fluido a 350 mmHg con una herida grande. Se preparó una herida grande estándar como en la prueba de las figuras 3 y 4 y se graficaron las curvas de presión a 350 mmHg para los niveles de fluido desde vacio hasta 500 mi, llenando desde el exterior. Este procedimiento se realizó bajo un control directo como en las pruebas descritas anteriormente. El sistema se operó bajo una terapia normal a 200 mmHg y se inyectó fluido en la herida hasta que se activó una alarma por bloqueo. Se reanudó el control directo a 350 mmHg y se gráfico la última curva .

CONCLUSIONES DE LAS PRUEBAS Los registros obtenidos con un recipiente cerrado en la Figura 3 muestran una buena linealidad entre el nivel de lleno y el tiempo para que la presión descienda a ambos tanto a cero como a 5 mmHg. Existe algún cruce en las primeras etapas de la disminución, pero la tendencia de las gráficas parece indicar que el tiempo de disminución es aproximadamente proporcional al nivel de lleno. Los resultados representados en la Figura 3 fueron para un recipiente cerrado. Un trabajo adicional como se refleja en la Figura 6, reveló que cuando se une una herida, el efecto de cruce se reduce considerablemente. La gráfica de la Figura 4 indica que existen agrupamientos distintos en los datos. Con un recipiente lleno cuando ocurre la oclusión del filtro, la presión desciende por debajo de 10 mmHg en menos de 0.8 segundos, sin consideración de la presión de terapia. Cuando el recipiente se encuentra aproximadamente lleno pero aún no había ocurrido la oclusión, el tiempo para los 10 mmHg fue de tres segundos o más. El (valor) diferencial pudo haber mejorado si se hubiese medido el tiempo para un porcentaje de presión inicial en lugar de presión absoluta. La Figura 5 confirma que los tiempos de disminución para todos los niveles de llenado desde vacío hasta 500 mi toman un tiempo sustancial para descender a niveles cercanos

a cero desde 350 mmHg. La proporción de disminución más rápida (500 mi) descendió a aproximadamente 20 mmHg después de cuatro segundos y se mantuvo alrededor de 10 mmHg después de 10 segundos. En comparación, la curva bloqueada descendió a virtualmente cero (por debajo de 3 mmHg) en menos de un segundo . El sistema y método descritos en la presente solicitud mejoran con respecto a los sistemas de tratamiento de presión negativa existentes al alertar de manera confiable al usuario del sistema, que el recipiente para fluido de herida se encuentra lleno y puede tener que vaciarse. Al liberar la presión en la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido a través de una válvula, los sistemas y métodos descritos en la presente son capaces de medir la disminución de la presión negativa. Si la presión negativa dentro de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido disminuye rápidamente, entonces el sistema determina que el recipiente se encuentre lleno y activa una alarma notificándole al usuario que el recipiente se encuentra lleno de fluido de herida. Si la presión negativa dentro de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido disminuye lentamente, entonces el sistema determina que existe un bloqueo en el sistema, que debe retirarse y le notifica al usuario activando una alarma. Aún cuando muchos de los ejemplos tratados en la presente son aplicaciones de la presente invención en el

campo médico del tratamiento de heridas, la presente invención puede también aplicarse en otros tipos de aplicaciones de presión negativa incluyendo, pero sin limitarse a, dispositivos de succión y recolección de fluido para otros usos médicos y no-médicos. Un experto en la técnica observara que la presente invención puede aplicarse en muchas áreas en donde existe la necesidad de proporcionar una indicación del estado lleno de un contenedor que contenga cualquier sustancia. Será aparente a partir de lo anterior que se ha proporcionado una invención que tiene ventajas significativas. Aunque la invención se muestra únicamente en algunas de sus formas, esta no se limita a las mismas, sino que es susceptible de varios cambios y modificaciones sin apartarse del espíritu de la misma.
Claims (23)
- REIVINDICACIONES 1. Un método para detectar el estado lleno de un recipiente para fluido en un sistema de tratamiento de tejido, comprendiendo el método: crear una presión reducida en una trayectoria de comunicación de fluido del sistema para tratamiento de te ido; aplicar la presión reducida en el sitio de tejido; recolectar el fluido desde el sitio de tejido en el recipiente ; liberar la presión reducida; medir la disminución de la presión reducida a medida que se libera la presión reducida; y determinar a partir de la disminución medida, el estado lleno del recipiente.
- 2. El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde la presión reducida se libera en al menos una porción de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido.
- 3. El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde el estado lleno indica que el recipiente se encuentra lleno o no lleno .
- 4. El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde la medición de la disminución comprende además: establecer un umbral de presión por debajo de la presión reducida; después de la liberación de la presión reducida, medir el tiempo para que el recipiente alcance el umbral de presión; y determinar el estado lleno del recipiente en base al tiempo medido.
- 5. El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde liberar la presión reducida y medir la disminución comprende además : liberar la presión reducida durante una cantidad de tiempo seleccionada; medir la presión alcanzada dentro de la al menos una porción de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido después de la cantidad de tiempo seleccionada; y determinar el estado lleno del recipiente en base a la presión alcanzada.
- 6. El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde liberar la presión reducida y medir la disminución comprende además : liberar la presión reducida durante una cantidad de tiempo seleccionada; medir la proporción de flujo de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido durante la liberación de presión reducida; y determinar el estado lleno del recipiente en base a la proporción de flujo.
- 7. El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde determinar el estado lleno incluye determinar un nivel de lleno .
- 8. El método de la reivindicación 1 que comprende además: si el nivel de lleno del recipiente indica un recipiente lleno, alertar al usuario de que el recipiente se encuentra lleno.
- 9. El método de la reivindicación 1, en donde la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido incluye el recipiente, un conducto de la fuente que conecta de manera fluida el recipiente a una fuente de presión reducida y un conducto del objetivo que conecta de manera fluida el recipiente al sitio de tejido.
- 10. Un sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida que comprende: un recipiente conectado de manera fluida al sitio de tejido y configurado para recibir el fluido extraído del sitio de tejido bajo la influencia de la presión reducida; una fuente de presión reducida configurada para proporcionar la presión reducida y conectada de manera fluida al sitio de tejido mediante la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido, incluyendo la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido un conducto de fuente, el recipiente y un conducto del objetivo, estando el recipiente colocado entre la fuente de presión reducida y el sitio de tejido y estando conectado de manera fluida a la fuente de presión reducida mediante el conducto de la fuente, estando además el recipiente conectado de manera fluida al sitio de tejido mediante el conducto del objetivo; un dispositivo detector en comunicación con el conducto de la fuente y configurado para detectar la presión en el conducto de la fuente; una válvula en comunicación con el conducto de la fuente y configurada para ventilar la presión reducida; y una unidad de procesamiento en comunicación con el dispositivo detector y la válvula y configurada para: abrir la válvula durante una cantidad de tiempo seleccionada ; recibir datos de detección provenientes del dispositivo detector durante la cantidad de tiempo seleccionada para determinar la disminución de la presión reducida; y determinar el estado lleno del recipiente en base a la disminución de la presión reducida.
- 11. El sistema de la reivindicación 10, en donde el estado lleno indica que el recipiente se encuentra lleno o no se encuentra lleno.
- 12. El sistema de la reivindicación 10, en donde: la válvula ventila selectivamente la presión reducida desde al menos una porción de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido; y se determina la disminución de la presión reducida en la al menos una porción de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido.
- 13. El sistema de la reivindicación 10, en donde la unidad de procesamiento se configura además para: después de la apertura de la válvula, determinar el tiempo requerido para que el recipiente alcance el umbral de presión; y determinar el estado lleno del recipiente utilizando el tiempo.
- 14. El sistema de la reivindicación 10, en donde la unidad de procesamiento se configura además para: determinar la presión alcanzada dentro de la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido después de la cantidad de tiempo seleccionada; y determinar el estado lleno del recipiente en base a la presión alcanzada.
- 15. El sistema de la reivindicación 10, en donde la unidad de procesamiento se configura además para determinar si existe un bloqueo en la trayectoria de comunicación de fluido.
- 16. El sistema de la reivindicación 10 que comprende además: una segunda válvula acoplada de manera fluida al conducto del objetivo y configurada para cerrarse cuando se abra la primera válvula.
- 17. El sistema de la reivindicación 16, en donde la primera válvula y la segunda válvula comprenden válvulas accionadas eléctricamente o mecánicamente.
- 18. El sistema de la reivindicación 10 que comprende además: una alarma en comunicación con la unidad de procesamiento y configurada para alertar al usuario cuando el recipiente se encuentra lleno.
- 19. Un sistema de tratamiento de presión reducida que tiene capacidad para detectar un recipiente lleno, comprendiendo el sistema: una fuente de presión reducida para proporcionar la presión reducida; una almohadilla porosa colocada en el sitio de tejido y conectada de manera fluida a la fuente de presión reducida ; un recipiente conectado de manera fluida entre la almohadilla porosa y la fuente de presión reducida para recolectar el fluido extraído del sitio de tejido; una válvula de solenoide conectada de manera fluida a un conducto entre el recipiente y la fuente de presión reducida; y un medio para determinar la disminución de presión en el conducto cuando se abra la válvula de solenoide.
- 20. El sistema como se define en la reivindicación 19, en donde el medio para determinar la disminución en la presión comprende además un detector de flujo en comunicación con el conducto.
- 21. El sistema como se define en la reivindicación 19, en donde el medio para determinar la disminución en la presión comprende además un detector de presión en comunicación con el conducto.
- 22. El sistema como se define en la reivindicación 19, en donde el medio para determinar la disminución en la presión comprende además un cronómetro para medir la cantidad de tiempo que se requiere para que la presión en el conducto alcance el umbral de presión seleccionado.
- 23. El sistema como se define en la reivindicación 19, que comprende además un medio para activar una alarma en respuesta a la disminución de presión que se determina para indicar una condición de recipiente lleno.
