Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento que comprende una reacción química de sorción, en la cual un reactivo sólido se expone a un reactivo gaseoso, por lo cual el reactivo gaseoso es adsorbido y desadsorbido alternativamente por el reactivo sólido para formar un producto de reacción sólido que tiene un volumen aumentado o disminuído, en comparación con el reactivo sólido, el procedimiento está caracterizado porque mantiene la densidad óptima del reactivo sólido y/o el producto de reacción sólido, poniendo en contacto los sólidos con medios de barrera a la expansión volumetrica durante al menos una parte de la reacción química de sorción, por lo que la expansión del reactivo sólido y/o los productos de reacción sólidos está limitada, de modo que se mejoran las velocidades de reacción del procedimiento.
