Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento de polimerización en solución para obtener un polímero de adición, de acrilamida, soluble en agua, y hasta 50 por ciento en peso de uno o más monómeros de vinilo diferentes, en presencia de un iniciador de radical libre y un agente de transferencia de cadena, caracterizado porque se emplea una molecula substancialmente insoluble en agua, que tiene un grupo hidrófobo efectivo, como un iniciador de radical libre, un agente de transferencia de cadena o un componente del iniciador o del agente, y el polímero tiene un peso molecular promedio mayor de 10,000.
