Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso en que por lo menos un monómero de vinilo se polimeriza disolviendo un iniciador de polimerización en dicho monómero de vinilo, suspendiendo la resultante solución en agua contentiva de un estabilizador de suspensión y someter la suspensión a condiciones de polimerización, la mejora que comprende el estabilizador de suspensión de la clase que consiste de: a) un éter de celulosa noniónico, hidrosoluble modificado con un radical alkilo de C6 a C25 en una cantidad entre más o menos 0,2 por ciento por peso y una cantidad suficiente para hacer dicho éter menos de 1 por ciento soluble en agua; y b) un copolímero de óxido de etileno y aproximadamente 0,2 a 4 por ciento por peso de un epóxido alkilo de C6 a C24.
