Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para la preparación de una tela de mezclilla apropiada para la producción de prendas que tienen una apariencia uniforme de nuevas prendas y la sensación suave de las prendas usadas, el cual método está caracterizado porque comprende: a) construir una tela de mezclilla cruda entretejida con el urdimbre que consiste esencialmente de 20 a 90 por ciento de algodón, de 10 a 8 por ciento de fibra clasificada sintética altamente encogible y opcionalmente hasta un 70 por ciento de otras fibras clasificadas que tienen bajo encogimiento y llenan el hilado que consiste esencialmente de 20 a 100 por ciento de algodón y de 0 a 80 por ciento de fibra sintética clasificada, el urdimbre siendo aprestado, b) humedecer la tela con una solución acuosa caliente de una enzima para ayudar en la digestión del apresto, c) impartir un encogimiento al urdimbre de menos de 12 por ciento mediante: (i) mantener la tela húmeda, extendida, en una condición de reposo a una temperatura desde 50 C hasta 100 C por al menos 0.5 minutos, (ii) enjuagar la tela en agua para separar el apresto, y (iii) secar la tela, extendida, a una tensión suficiente para eliminar las arrugas, y d) encoger compresivamente la tela hasta un 12 por ciento en la dirección del urdimbre.
