Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para manufacturar un cuerpo cerámico autoportante, CARACTERIZADO porque uno de sus componentes es un polímero, y comprende los siguientes pasos: (a) la provisión de un cuerpo cerámico autoportante, comprendiendo: (i) un producto de la reacción de oxidación, policristalino, formado a partir de la oxidación de un metal-base, fundido, con un oxidante, y (ii) una porosidad interconectada accesible por lo menos parcialmente desde una o más superficies de dicho cuerpo cerámico; (b) el contacto de dicha superficie o superficies de dicho cuerpo cerámico con una cantidad de polímero que sea capaz de infiltrarse en por lo menos una porción de dicha porosidad interconectada; y (c) la infiltración de por lo menos una porción de dicha porosidad interconectada con por lo menos una porción de dicha cantidad de dicho polímero con el objeto de formar un cuerpo cerámico, uno de cuyos componentes sea un polímero.
