Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento de moldeado o vaciado mediante espuma perdida y bajo presión, de piezas metálicas, especialmente de aluminio y de sus aleaciones, en el que se sumerge un modelo de espuma orgánica de la pieza que se va a moldear en un molde donde las paredes están delimitadas por un baño de arena seca que no contiene ningún agente de aglutinamiento, se llena el molde con el metal en estado líquido que substituye a la espuma y se solidifica progresivamente, y se aplica una presión gaseosa isostática creciente, simultáneamente sobre el molde y el metal antes del fin del llenado, el procedimiento está caracterizado en que la presión ejercida se eleva hasta un valor comprendido entre 1.5 y 10 MPa.
