Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para moldear una espuma perdida de piezas metálicas, especialmente de aleación de aluminio en la cual se sumerge un modelo del producto a obtener, hecho de una espuma de material orgánico en un molde constituído por un baño de arena seca que no contiene ningún agente de ligazón, luego, después de haber rellenado el molde con el metal fundido y antes de que la fracción solidificada del metal no pase del 40 por ciento en peso, aplica una presión gaseosa isostática sobre el molde, el procedimiento está caracterizado en que se utiliza esencialmente para el moldeo de piezas de aleación de alumino que tiene un intervalo de solidificación superior a 30ºC y cuya geometría es tal que la relación R de la longitud que separa la mazarota de la o de las zona(s) críticas sobre la mitad del espesor promedio de la pieza sobre esta longitud, es superior a 10 y en que la presión relativa aplicada está comprendida entre 0.1 y 0.5 MPa.
