Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar un compuesto de 2-quinoxalinol de la fórmula: en donde R es hidrógeno, halógeno o trihalogenometilo, caracterizado porque comprende reducir un compuesto de 4-óxido de 2-quinoxalinol de la fórmula: en donde R es como se definió anteriormente, con hidrógeno, en presencia de una cantidad catalíticamente efectiva de por lo menos un catalizador seleccionado del grupo que consiste de platino sulfurado, paladio sulfurado, rodio sulfurado y rutenio sulfurado.
