Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar el 5-etiliden-2-norborneno, el cual comprende isomerizar el 5-vinil-2-norborneno, en la presencia de al menos un catalizador, seleccionado de un grupo que consta de un catalizador de base sólida, caracterizado porque se preparar por la reacción de la alúmina y un hidróxido de metal alcalino a una temperatura de 200 a 500 grados C, y luego reaccionar el producto de reacción con un metal alcalino, a una temperatura de 180 a 350 grados C y un catalizador de base sólida, el cual se prepara por la reacción de una alúmina, que contiene agua y un metal alcalino, en tal cantidad que corresponda al equivalente molar del agua contenida en la alúmina, a una temperatura en el márgen entre el punto de fusión del metal alcalino y 500 grados C, y luego hacer reaccionar el producto de reacción con un metal acalino, a una temperatura de 180 a 350 grados C.
