Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar una membrana polimérica, capaz de permitir el paso selectivamente de un componente mas fácilmente permeable de una mezcla gaseosa de alimentación, en el cual se produce dicha membrana en una forma porosa deseada, se lava y se seca, la mejora caracterizada porque comprende exponer dicha membrana, en forma esencialmente seca, a una temperatura elevada que se aproxima a la temperatura de transición de vidrio de dicho material de membrana, bajo condiciones no hinchadoras durante un tiempo suficiente para modificar la estructura de membrana para formar asimetria en ella, con resistencia a la compactación y presión de aplastamiento incrementadas, con lo que se mejora la uniformidad y la confiabilidad de la membrana tratada para usarla en operaciones de separación de gas.
