Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para estabilizar una solución al 0.5 hasta un 10 por ciento en peso de una isotiazolona, de la fórmula: en la cual: Y es un grupo alquilo, insubstituído o substituído, con 1 a 8 átomos de carbono, un grupo alquenilo o alquinilo, insubstituído o substituído por halógeno, con 2 a 8 átomos de carbono, un grupo cicloalquilo, insubstituído o substituído , con 5 a 8 átomos de carbono, un grupo aralquilo insubstituído o substituído, o un grupo arilo, insubstituído o substituído; R es hidrógeno, halógeno o un grupo alquilo con 1 a 4 átomos de carbono; el cual comprende formular una solución de isotiazolona, disolviendo la isotiazolona en un solvente de hidroxi de aproximadamente 8 a 99 por ciento en peso, o una mezcla de solventes de hidroxi de la siguiente fórmula estructural: en que R y R1 son hidrógeno o alquilo inferior, X es -CH2OCH2-, (CH2)n, donde n es un entero de 1 a 4, e y es un entero de 1 a 150; y una sal de estabilización en el márgen de 0 a 1 por ciento en peso.
