Description

The invention relates to animal husbandry, namely to a process for raising young pigs.

There are several known ways of feeding pigs with the use of feed additives, including adsorbents, which eliminate mycotoxins from feed. The process of decontamination of mycotoxins consists of adding to the feed a material that has the ability to absorb toxins to prevent them from entering the blood vessels of the animals; the adsorbent reduces the amount of toxins that enter the body of the animals, thus improving the productivity and health of the animals by reducing the number of diseases caused by toxins.

The process of raising pigs using the Myco Curb preparation produced by the company "Kemin Europa N.V." Industries, a feed additive containing a mold inhibitor and a mycotoxin adsorbent, is known. The preparation contains components obtained by chemical and microbiological synthesis: magnesium hydrosilicate, calcium propionate, sorbic, lactic and fumaric acids, emulsifier, butylhydroxyanisole; agents: silicon dioxide and sodium chloride. The Myco Curb preparation prevents fungal contamination of feed raw materials and compound feeds, prevents the accumulation of mycotoxins in feed, and mitigates the consequences of mycotoxicoses in animals and birds. The dosage rate for animals and birds is 5.0 kg per 1 ton of feed [1].

When supplementing the combined feed for young pigs with Myco Curb, an increase in their growth intensity by 8.84% was observed, but the use of the preparation did not allow for an economic effect [2].

The process of raising pigs with the use of the preparation "Fungistat-GPK" used for the adsorption of toxins and the enhancement of the hepatoprotective function of the liver is also known. It contains the following components (g/kg of product): riboxin ̶ 15 g, lecithin ̶ 20 g, L-carnitine ̶ 15 g, calcium propionate (salt of propionic acid) ̶ 10 g, oligofructose + inulin (30:70) ̶ 40 g, protosubtilin ̶ 25 g, bentonite (sorbent 1) ̶ 730 g, vermiculite (sorbent 2) ̶ 146 g, the proportion of sorbents 1 and 2 being 5:1 [3].

Dezavantajul acestor procedee constă în activitatea redusă a sorbenţilor. The disadvantage of these processes is the reduced activity of the sorbents.

The problem solved by the proposed invention consists of increasing animal productivity, reducing feed consumption, and improving feed use efficiency.

The process of raising young pigs, according to the invention, consists in using a feed additive in the amount of 4.0 kg per ton of combined feed in the feed of pigs from weaning to slaughter. This process allows improving the efficiency of feed use due to neutralizing the action of mycotoxins, improving the general condition of pigs, increasing their productivity and feed conversion.

The feed additive is a dry powder, hereinafter called VITACORM REO-M, and is administered to piglets from weaning age until they reach slaughter weight.

The feed additive VITACORM REO-M is developed by LLC "RCP HIMTEHSERVIS” (Ukraine, Odessa) according to the procedures presented in TU 15.7-31253255-001:2011. It contains: extruded wheat bran ̶ 10%, bentonite ̶ 25%, vermiculite ̶ 25%, polygorschite clay ̶ 30%, acidifying agent ̶ 5%, yeast autolysate ̶ 5%.

The process of raising young pigs involves feeding them with a combined feed with the addition of a feed additive, which contains, in % by mass: extruded wheat bran - 10, bentonite - 25, vermiculite - 25, polygorschite clay - 30, acidulant - 5, yeast autolysate - 5, at the same time the feed additive is added in an amount of 4.0 kg per 1000 kg of combined feed.

Procedeul de creştere a tineretului suin permite îmbunătăţirea eficacităţii utilizării nutreţului combinat datorită neutralizării acţiunii micotoxinelor, ameliorarea stării generale a porcilor, creşterea productivităţii lor şi a conversiei nutreţului. The process of raising young pigs allows improving the effectiveness of the use of combined feed due to the neutralization of the action of mycotoxins, improving the general condition of the pigs, increasing their productivity and feed conversion.

The result is increased animal productivity, reduced feed consumption, and improved feed use efficiency.

The process allows increasing the productivity of pigs: live weight by 6.31%, average daily gain during the experimental period by an average of 7.98%, increasing feed conversion by 7.93%, ensuring an increase in economic efficiency by approximately 11.34%/head.

It was found that the average body mass of pigs at the beginning of the preliminary period varied within the limits of 17.85…17.97 kg, and at the beginning of the actual experiment from 18.50 to 18.81 kg (tab. 4). The dynamics of body mass demonstrated that in all age periods the growth intensity of young pigs was quite high (between piglet groups), but differences were noted in all age periods. So, at the age of 4 months (at the beginning of the second growth period) between groups LM and LE1 - 2.11 kg; LM and LE2 - 3.79 kg; LM and LE3 - 3.51 kg (B≥0.95).

The differences at the end of the experiment between the LM and LE2 batches - 5.95 kg (B≥00.95); LE2 and LE3 - 3.58 kg (B≥0.95). A higher growth rate was manifested by the experimental hybrids from LE2, reaching a weight of 100.28 kg at the age of seven months; the body mass of piglets from LE1, LE2, LE3 compared to LM increased accordingly by 2.49, 6.31 and 2.51%, so, the maximum mass was recorded at LE2, the compound feed recipe was supplemented with an additive at a dose of 4.0 kg/t.

The use of the preparation "Fungistat-GPK" allowed the pigs' weight to increase during the experiment by only 2.34%.

The results of determining the average daily gain showed that in all experimental groups there was an increase in weight gain with increasing age of the animals. A more intense increase was noted in the period 6…7 months, but on average during the experimental period the highest value, in the amount of 537 g, was recorded in LE2.

5). The specific consumption of combined feed over the entire experimental period was lower in LE2 compared to all experimental groups and respectively compared to LM by 22.17 kg or 0.75% (tab. 5).
