Abstract

The invention relates to tobacco preparing for smoking articles production, namely, to the process for tobacco volume increasing.Aim of the invention - processing tobacco quality increasing.The process consists in tobacco processing with gasous nitrogen and/or argon under pressure, at 0-50°C with further pressure decreasing up to the atmospheric one and thermic processing.The tobacco the humidity of which makes up 5-17% is subjected to gasous and/or argon treatment and before the thermic processing the tobacco is impregnated with saturated water steam having humidity of 0,5-10 kg/m3.
