The prior art knows prefabricated windows for insertion in wall or door cutouts, especially 5 of caravans and other mobile accommodation, the actual window pane units being permanently mounted or being able to be opened. To avoid these disadvantages and inadequacies of the prior art, it is therefore an object of the invention to propose a window frame construction of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the frames, together with optionally integrated roller blind compartments, are produced by extrusion and then by fitting them with reinforcing cores a high-strength material, such as metal, can be stiffened without thermal expansion problems.
