Abstract

1506655 Refrigerators LINDE AG 11 Dec 1975 [20 Dec 1974] 50760/75 Heading F4H In a refrigerated display case in which air is drawn into a duct, cooled and passed out to form an air curtain, the air passes out from the duct through open-celled foamed material, e.g. polyester foam. As shown, the duct 3 includes an evaporator 4 and a fan 5 and the duct outlet is covered by polyester foam strips 7 supported so as to have two inlet faces and one outlet face. In a second embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), in which the duct is defined by the back wall of the goods compartment and the back wall of the casing, the back wall of the goods compartment being perforated or slotted and faced with open-celled foamed material through which the air passes and passes over shelves supported on the back wall.
