Abstract

본 발명의 차량용 에어백 장치는 차량의 적절한 위치에 고정된 브래킷 및 상기 브래킷에 부착된 에어백 모듈을 포함하고 있다. 에어백 모듈은 브래킷에 부착된 베이스, 가스를 발생시키는 인플레이터, 인플레이터에 의해 발생된 가스에 의해 전개되는 에어백 본체 및 상기 에어백 본체의 전개방향을 규제하는 가이드를 구비하고 있다. 베이스 및 가이드는 공간을 형성하도록 조립배치된 개별 부품이다. 따라서, 가이드는 다른 구성물에 영향을 주지 않고서 에어백 모듈의 소정 공간에 배치될 수 있다. 또한, 가이드는 에어백 본체의 전개방향을 적절히 가이드할 수 있다.

Claims (7)

  1. 차량의 적절한 위치에 고정된 브래킷 및 상기 브래킷에 부착되는 에어백 모듈로 구성되는 에어백 장치에 있어서, 상기 에어백 모듈은 제1부재, 제2부재, 가스를 발생시키는 인플레이터 및 상기 인플레이터에 의해 발생된 가스에 의해 전개되는 에어백 본체를 갖추고 있으며, 제2부재는 에어백 본체의 전개방향을 규제하며, 상기 제1부재 및 제2부재는 공간을 형성하도록 조립배치된 개별 부재이고, 상기 인플레이터 및 에어백 모듈은 제1부재 및 제2부재에 의해 형성된 공간내에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 에어백 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 에어백 모듈은 에어백 본체의 전개시에 분열되어 개방되는 수지제 커버를 추가로 구비하며, 상기 제1부재는 브래킷에 부착되는 베이스이며, 상기 제2부재는 에어백 본체의 전개방향을 규제하는 가이드이며, 상기 가이드의 기단부는 베이스의 돌기에 부착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 에어백 장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 인플레이터는 베이스의 돌기에 부착되며, 상기 가이드의 기단부는 인플레이터와 베이스 사이에 지지된 상태로 끼워져 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 에어백 장치.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 가이드의 기단부 또는 상기 베이스의 돌기 중 하나는 상하방향으로 형성된 돌기부를 구비하며, 다른 한쪽은 돌기와 맞물리게 배열된 위치결정홈을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 에어백 장치.
  5. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 가이드는 인플레이터의 외측영역을 덮고, 상기 가이드의 선단부와 베이스간에는 에어백 본체의 전개방향으로 개구가 형성되어 있고, 상기 커버는 가이드의 외측에 인접배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 에어백 장치.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 가이드는 에어백 본체의 전개력에 의해 에어백 모듈의 외측방향으로 변형가능한 강도를 지니는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 에어백 장치.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 가이드의 두께는 기단부에서 선단부네 걸쳐 점차 감소되는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 에어백 장치.
