Abstract
본 발명은, 디지탈방식의 데이타라인 ·드라이버에 관하여, 액정의 열화방지 플리커를 억제한 양호한 표시를 실현하는 한편, 액자스페이서의 삭감을 도모하는 것을 목적으로 한다 데이타입력부 10과 출력부 18에, 각각 외부로부터의 데이타절환제어신호 POL에 기초하여, 각 데이타라인의 다른 채널사이에서 데이타의 절환을 하는 데이타크로스기능을 갖도록 구성한다.

본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제1도는 본 발명의 제1실시형태 관계되는 LCD의 데이터라인 ·드라이버의 구성을 표시한 블럭도.
Claims (10)
- 액정판넬에 배열된 각 테이타라인을 구동하는 디지탈방식의 데이타라인 ·드라이버로서, 외부로부터의 클럭(CLK)에 응답하여 데이타(Dn)를 불려오는 데이타입력부(10)와, 복수의 계조레벨에 따른 기준전압을 기준 전원부(15,16,15a,16a)와, 상기 기준전원부에서 상기 데이타에 따른 규정의 기준전압을 선택하는 셀렉터부(17)와, 상기 셀렉터에서 선택된 기준전압을 각각 표시데이타로서 각 데이타라인에 출력하는 출력부(18)를 구비하고, 상기 데이타입력부와 상기 출력부가, 각각 외부로부터의 데이타절환제어신호(POL)에 기초하여, 상기 각 데이타라인의 다른 채널 사이에서 데이타의 바꾸어 넣기를 하는 데이타크로스기능을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타라인·드라이버.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 각 데이타라인의 다른 채널 사이에서의 데이타의 바꿔넣기가, 상기 각 데이타라인의 서로 이웃하는 기수채널(OCH) 및 우수채널(ECH) 사이에서 행해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타라인·드라이버.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 기준전원부는 제1 및 제2의 기준전원부를 가지고, 그 제1과 제2의 기준전원부의 한쪽이 기수채널에 할당되고, 또한, 다른쪽이 우수채널에 할당되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타라인·드라이버.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 제1과 제2의 기준전원부(15, 16)은, 각각 상기 복수의 계조레벨에 따른 기준전압을 상기 셀렉터부의 대응하는 기수채널 및 우수채널에 각각 연결되는 계조전압라인에 직접 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타라인·드라이버.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 제1과 제2의 기준전원부(15a, 16a)은, 각각 복수의 기준전압에서 상기 복수의 계조레벨에 따른 기준전압을 각각 작성하는 제1과 제2의 계조전압작성부(21,22)를 가지고, 작성된 복수의 계조전압을 상기 셀렉터부의 대응하는 기수채널 및 우수채널에 각각 연결되는 계조전압라인에 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타라인·드라이버.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 디코더부를 통하여 입력되는 데이타 중 소정 비트수의 데이타와 외부에서 공급되는 제어신호(AP,BP)에 기초하여 복수의 계조레벨을 지시하는 계단상전압제어신호를 출력하는 계단상 전압제어부를 가지고, 상기 셀렉터부는, 상기 계단상 전압제어신호에 기초하여 작성한 계단전압을, 상기 제1과 제2의 계조전압작성부에서 작성된 복수의 계단상전 압에 각각 중첩시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타라인·드라이버.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 셀렉터부는, 상기 제1 및 제2의 계조전압작성부에서 작성된 복수의 계조전압을 각각 대응하는 기수채널과 우수채널에 전달하는 제1과 제2의 계조전압라인군을 가지고, 그 제1과 제2의 계조전압라인군의 각각의 같은 계조끼리의 라인을 서로 이웃하게 배열하고, 또한, 계조전압의 순서에 따라 교호로 배열한 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타라인·드라이버.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 셀렉터부와, 상기 제1과 제2의 계조전압작성부에서 작성된 복수의 계조전압을 각각 대응하는 기수채널과 우수채널에 전달하는 제1과 제2의 계조전압라인군을 가지고, 그 제1과 제2의 계조전압라인군의 각각의 같은 계조끼리의 라인을 복수소위로 서로 이웃하게 배열하고, 또한, 계조전압의 순서에 따라 교호로 배열한 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타라인 ·드라이버.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 셀렉터부는, 상기 제1과 제2의 계조전압작성부에서 작성된 복수의 제조전압을 각각 대응하는 기수채널과 우수채널에 전달하는 제1과 제2의 계조전압라인군을 가지고, 그 제1과 제2의 계조전압라인군의 각각에 있어서, 가장 높은 전압의 라인, 가장 낮은 전압의 라인, 2번째로 높은 전압의 라인, 2번째로 낮은 전압의 라인, …의 순서로 각 라인을 매연하고, 또한, 상기 제1과 제2의 계조전압라인군의 각각의 계조전압라인을 교호로 배열한 것을 특징으로 하는 데이타라인 ·드라이버.
- 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 기재한 데이타라인 ·드라이버을 액정판넬의 한쪽편에 배치한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.※ 참고사항; 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
