Claims (12)

  1. 복수의 구동소자(10)를 갖고 각 구동소자(10)가 복수화소의 구동을 담당함과 동시에 입력영상신호에 기초해서 각 구동소자(10)로부터 표시판에 공급하는 서스테잉펄스의 펄스수의 변화로 표시휘도가 변화하는 표시장치에 있어서, 입력영상신호에 기초해서 일정기간마다의 표시부하율을 검출하는 표시부하율검출수단과, 이 표시부하율검출수단의 검출출력에 기초해서 표시판의 휘도특성을 일정하게 유지하도록 서스테인잉펄스수를 제어하는 서스테인잉펄스 제어수단을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 표시장치는 표시판의 1화면표시기간을 표시색조에 대응하는 복수의 표시기간으로 시분할하고 각 분할표시기간의 서스테인잉펄스수에 가중해서 다중색조화상을 표시하는 표시장치로서, 표시부하율검출수단은 1화면표시기간 또는 1분할표시기간중의 한쪽의 표시기간마다의 구동화소수를 계수하는 카운터(22)로 되고 서스테인잉펄스제어수단은 카운터(22)의 계수치에 기초해서 서스테인잉펄스수를 제어하는 서스테인잉펄스제어회로로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 서스테인잉펄스제어회로는 카운터(22)의 계수치를 기초로해서 표시판의 휘도특성을 일정하게 유지하기 위한 서스테인잉펄스수를 미리 기억한 룩업테이블(24)을 주체로 한 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.

  5. 제4항에 있어서, 표시장치는 표시판의 1화면표시기간을 표시색조에 대응하는 복수의 표시기간으로 시분할하고 각 분할표시기간의 서스테인잉펄스수에 가중해서 다중색조화상을 표시하는 표시장치로서, 표시부하율검출수단은 1화면표시기간마다의 구동화소수를 계수하는 카운더(22)로 되고 서스테인잉펄스제어수단은 카운터(22)의 계수치에 기초해서 서스테인잉전압 또는 서스테인잉전류를 제어하는 서스테인잉전압·전류제어회로로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.
  6. 제4항에 있어서, 표시장치는 표시판의 1화면표시기간을 표시색조에 대응하는 복수의 표시기간으로 시분할하고 각 분할표시기간의 서스테인잉펄스수에 가중해서 다중색조화상을 표시하는 표시장치로서, 표시부하율검출수단은 1화면표시기간마다의 구동화소수를 계수하는 카운터(22)로 되고 서스테인잉펄스제어수단은 카운터(22)의 계수치에 기초해서 서스테인잉전압 또는 서스테인잉전류를 제어하는 서스테인잉전압·전류제어회로로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.
  7. 복수의 구동소자(10)를 갖고 각 구동소자(10)가 복수화소의 구동을 담당하고 표시판의 1화면표시기간을 표시색조에 대응하는 복수의 표시기간으로 시분할하고 각 분할표시기간의 서스테인잉펄스수에 가중해서 다중색조화상을 표시하는 표시장치에 있어서, n비트(n은 2 이상의 정수)의 입력영상신호를 m비트(mn-1)의 영상신호로 변환함과 동시에 중간레벨을 인접구동레벨로부터 구하는 중간색조표시수단과, 이 중간색조표시수단의 m비트의 영상신호에 기초해서 일정기간마다의 표시면적을 검출하고, 이 검출출력에 기초하여 표시판의 휘도특성을 일정하게 유지하도록 서스테인잉펄스를 제어하는 표시면적검출수단을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 중간표시수단은 표시해야 할 영상레벨과 표시한 구동레벨과의 차이를 오차로해서 주위의 영상에 확산시키는 오차확산회로로된 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.
  9. 제7항 또는 제8항에 있어서, 표시면적검출수단은 일정기간 마다의 표시부하율을 검출하는 표시부하율검출회로와 이 표시부하율검출회로의 검출출력에 기초해서 표시판의 휘도특성을 일정하게 유지하도록 서스테인잉펄스수를 제어하는 서스테인잉펄스제어회로로된 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.
  10. 제7항 또는 제8항에 있어서, 표시면적검출수단은 일정기간 마다의 표시부하율을 검출하는 표시부하율검출회로와 이 표시부하율검출회로의 검출출력에 기초해서 표시판의 휘도특성을 일정하게 유지하도록 서스테인잉전압 또는 서스테인잉전류를 제어하는 서스테인잉전압·전류제어회로로된 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 표시부하율검출회로는 1화면표시기간마다의 구동화소수를 계수하는 카운터(22)로 되고 서스테인잉펄스제어회로는 카운터(22)의 계수치에 기초해서 서스테인잉전압 또는 서스테인잉전류를 제어해서 된 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.
  12. 제10항에 있어서, 표시부하율검출회로는 1라인표시기간마다의 구동화소수를 계수하는 카운터(22)로 되고 서스테인잉펄스제어회로는 카운터(22)의 계수치에 기초해서 서스테인잉전압 또는 서스테인잉전류를 제어해서 된 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동회로.
