Abstract

기지국(2) 및 다수의 원격 사용자(4)와의 통신을 위해 데이터율을 제어하기 위한 방법 및 장치. 기지국(2)으로부터 원격사용자(4)로의 순방향 링크자원이든지 또는 원격사용자(4)로부터 기지국(2)로의 역방향 링크자원이든간에 통신자원의 사용은 측정된다. 측정된 사용값은 적어도 하나의 소정 임계값에 비교되어 상기 통신자원상에서의 통신의 데이터율 또는 통신의 부세트는 상기 비교치에 따라 수정된다.

Claims (20)

  1. 송신기를 각각 가진 다수의 원격 사용자가 수신기를 가진 통신센터에 메시지 신호를 전송하는 통신 네트워크에서, 시스템 사용 및 용량에 따라 통신품질을 최적화하기 위한 부시스템에 있어서, 상기 시스템 사용을 결정하고 상기 사용레벨에 따라 데이터율 제어신호를 조건부로 공급하는 감시수단과; 상기 데이터율 제어신호를 수신하여 상기 사용레벨에 따라 상기 원격 사용자중의 상기 한 대응 사용자의 상기 데이터율을 조절하기 위해 상기 원격사용자중의 한 대응 사용자와 함께 각각 배열된 다수의 응답수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신품질을 최적화하기 위한 부시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 부시스템은, 상기 원격사용자에 메시지 및 데이터율 제어신호를 전송하기 위한 통신센터 송신기수단과; 상기 데이터율 제어신호를 수신하여 상기 응답수단중의 한 대응 응답 수단에 상기 데이터율 제어신호를 공급하기 위해 상기 원격사용자중의 한 대응 원격 사용자와 함께 각각 배열된 다수의 원격 수신기 수단을 더 포함하고, 상기 감시수단은 상기 통신센터와 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신품질을 최적화하기 위한 부시스템.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 감시수단은 소정 시간주기동안 상기 메시지 신호의 에너지를 측정하여 상기 시스템 사용을 결정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신품질을 최적화하기 위한 부시스템.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 응답수단은, 상기 데이터율 제어신호를 수신하여 상기 데이터율 제어신호에 응답하여 데이터율 커맨드 신호를 공급하기 위한 프로세서 수단과; 음성 데이터 및 상기 데이터율 커맨드 신호를 수신하여 상기 커맨드 신호에 따른 데이터율로 상기 음성데이터를 인코딩하는 가변 데이터율 보코더 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신품질을 최적화하기 위한 부시스템.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 가변 데이터율 보코더 수단은 상기 음성 데이터의 에너지에 따라 상기 음성 데이터를 인코딩하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신품질을 최적화하기 위한 부시스템.
  6. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서 수단은 전송을 위한 비음성 데이터를 수신하여 상기 데이터율 제어신호에 따른 데이터율로 상기 비음성 데이터를 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신품질을 최적화하기 위한 부시스템.
  7. 메시지 데이터 및 데이터율 제어 커맨드를 포함하는 신호를 수신하기 위한 수신기와; 음성 데이터를 수신하여 상기 데이터율 제어 커맨드에 따라 상기 음성 데이터를 인코딩하기 위한 가변 데이터율 보코더와; 상기 인코딩된 음성 데이터를 전송하는 송신기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 데이터율 수신기.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 수신된 신호를 복조하기 위해 상기 수신기 및 상기 가변 데이터율 보코더 사이에 배치된 복조기와; 상기 복조된 신호를 수신하여 상기 메시지 신호 및 상기 데이터율 제어 커맨드를 개별적으로 공급하기 위해 복조기 및 상기 가변 데이터율 보코더 사이에 배치된 프로세서를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 데이터율 수신기.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서는 전송을 위한 비음성 데이터를 더 수신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 데이터율 수신기.
  10. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 인코딩된 음성 데이터를 변조하기 위해 상기 가변 데이터율 보코더 및 상기 송신기 사이에 배치된 변조기를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 데이터율 수신기.
  11. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 인코딩된 음성 데이터를 변조하기 위해 상기 가변 데이터율 보코더 및 상기 송신기 사이에 배치된 변조기를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 데이터율 수신기.
  12. 기지국에서, 상기 기지국의 사용자 용량을 제어하기 위한 장치에 있어서, 상기 기지국의 사용을 측정하기 위한 사용결정수단과; 상기 측정된 사용을 적어도 하나의 소정값과 비교하여 상기 비교치에 따라 데이터율 제어신호를 선택적으로 공급하기 위한 데이터율 제어수단과; 상기 데이터율 제어신호를 전송하기 위한 송신기 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 사용자 용량을 제어하기 위한 장치.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 원격 사용자에 전송하기 위한 메시지 데이터 및 상기 데이터율 제어신호를 수신하여 혼합 데이터 패킷을 제공하기 위한 상기 메시지 데이터를 상기 데이터율 제어신호와 결합하기 위한 프로세서 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 사용자 용량을 제어하기 위한 장치.
  14. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 혼합 데이터 패킷을 변조하기 위해 상기 프로세서 수단 및 송신기 사이에 배치된 변조기 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 사용자 용량을 제어하기 위한 장치.
  15. 기지국이 순방향 링크로 다수의 원격 사용자에 메시지를 전송하는 통신 시스템에서, 메시지 통신의 데이터율을 제어하는 장치에 있어서, 상기 순방향 링크의 사용값을 결정하기 위한 사용 결정수단과; 상기 사용값을 수신하고 상기 사용값을 적어도 하나의 소정 임계값에 비교하여, 상기 비교치에 따라 데이터율 제어신호를 조건부로 공급하기 위한 데이터율 제어 논리수단과; 상기 데이터율 제어신호에 따라 데이터율로 데이터를 공급하기 위한 적어도 하나의 가변 데이터율 데이터원을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 메시지 통신의 데이터율을 제어하기 위한 장치.
  16. 제15항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 가변 데이터율 데이터원은 가변 데이터율로 음성 데이터를 인코딩하기 위한 적어도 하나의 가변 데이터율 보코더 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 메시지 통신의 데이터율을 제어하기 위한 장치.
  17. 제15항에 있어서, 상기 사용 결정수단은 상기 원격 사용자에 전송하기 위한 신호의 에너지를 측정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 메시지 통신의 데이터율을 제어하기 위한 장치.
  18. 통신자원의 사용을 최적화하기 위한 방법에 있어서, 상기 통신자원의 상기 사용을 측정하는 단계와; 상기 측정된 사용을 적어도 하나의 소정 임계값에 비교하는 단계와; 상기 비교치에 따라 상기 통신자원상의 통신의 데이터율을 조절하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신자원의 사용을 최적화하는 방법.
  19. 제18항에 있어서, 상기 측정된 사용을 적어도 하나의 소정 임계값과 비교하는 상기 단계는 상기 사용을 소정의 고사용 임계값에 비교하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 통신자원상에서 통신의 데이터율을 조절하는 상기 단계는 상기 사용이 상기고사용 임계값을 초과할 때 통신의 데이터율을 감소시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신자원의 사용을 최적화하는 방법.
  20. 제18항에 있어서, 상기 측정된 사용을 적어도 하나의 소정 임계값에 비교하는 상기 단계는 상기 사용을 소정의 저사용 임계값에 비교하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 통신자원상에서 통신의 데이터율을 조절하는 상기 단계는 상기 사용이 상기 저사용 임계값 이하로 떨어질때 통신의 데이터율을 증가시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신자원의 사용을 최적화하는 방법.
