Abstract

본 발명의 액정표시장치는 그 사이에 액정층을 끼워넣는 제1투명전극층 및 제2투명전극층과, 실제 조준된 빛을 액정층으로 조사하기 위한 광원과, 액정층을 통해 투과된 빛을 바로 확산시키기 위한 확산수단과, 를 포함하여 구성된다. 확산수단이 투명폴리머층을 거쳐서 제1유리판 상에 배열되고, 거기에 제1투명전극층과 제1정렬층이 형성된다. 그후, 제2투명전극층과 제2방향막이 제2유리판 상에 형성된다. 액정이 제1방향막의 제2정렬층막 사이의 공간에 주입되며, 광원이 배열됨으로써 액정표시장치가 완성된다.

제1도는 본 발명에 따른 액정표시장치의 배열을 설명하기 위한 개략적 단면도이다. 제2도는 본 발명에 따른 액정표시장치의 제조방법을 설명하기 위한 플로우차트이다.

Claims (11)

  1. 내측면에 형성된 제1투명전극층을 갖춘 제1기판과, 내측면에 형성된 제2투명전극층을 갖춘 제2기판과, 제1 및 제2기판 사이에 끼워지는 액정층과, 조준된 빛을 제2투명전극층으로부터 액정층을 제공하기 위한 광원과, 제1기판과 제1투명전극층 사이에 배열되어, 액정층을 통해 투과된 빛을 확산시키는 확산수단과를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로하는 액정표시장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 확산수단이 제1투명층을 따라 균일하게 배열된 다수의 구형렌즈로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로하는 액정표시장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광원이 빛을 ±15°내로 조준하기 위한 수단을 갖추어 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 조준수단이 프리즘으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 확산수단이 투과된 빛을 ±40°내로 확산시키는 것을 특징으로하는 액정표시장치.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 확산수단과 제1투명전극층 사이에 배치된 칼라필터를 더 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로하는 액정표시장치.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2기판이 능동 매트릭스어레이기판을 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  8. 투명폴리머층을 거쳐서 제1투명기판 상에 확산수단을 배치하는 공정과, 확산수단 상에 제1투명전극층을 형성하고 그 위에 제1정렬층을 형성하는 공정과, 제2투명기판 상에 제2투명전극층을 형성하고 제2투명전극층상에 제2정렬층을 형성하는 공정과, 제1 및 제2정렬층이 대향하도록 제1및 제2투명기판을 결합하는 공정과, 제1 및 제2정렬층 사이에 액정을 형성하는 공정과, 조준된 빛을 제2투명기판을 거쳐서 액정층을 향하여 조사하기 위해 광원을 설치하는 공정과,를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 제조방법.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 확산수단이 제1투명전극층을 따라 균일하게 배열된 다수의 구형렌즈로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 제조방법.
  10. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 제2투명전극층이 매트릭스로 배열된 다수의 화상소자전극을 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 제조방법.
  11. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 제1투명기판이 투명폴리머층과 제1투명전극층 사이에 칼라필터층을 갖추어 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 제조방법.
