Abstract

(목적) 색보상성능이 우수한 고속 STM-LCP의 색보상이 가능하므로 파장분산치를 자재로 변화되는 액정표시 소자용판을 제공한다.
(구성) 구성단위로서 4-히드록시 계피산단위와 카테콜단위를 포함하는 액정성 폴리에스테르를 사용하여 보상판을 얻는다.

Description

액정표시 소자용 보상판 (液晶表示素子用補償板) 및 그의 제조방법
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제1도는 본 발명의 실시예에서 사용한 액정셀의 단면도이다,
제2도는 본 발명의 실시예에서 사용한 액정셀을 구성하는 각 재료의 광학축의 관계를 나타낸다.

Claims (6)

  1. 액정상태에서 비틀림네머틱배향하고 액정전이점이하에서는 유리상태를 나타내고 식(Ⅰ)로 표시되는 4-히드록시 계피산단위를 3~40몰% 및 식(Ⅱ)로 표시되는 카테콜단위를 15에서 40몰% 포함하는 액정성 폴리에스테르를 배향고정화하여 투명기판상에 적층한 파장 450nm의 빛에 대한 복굴절의 값 (△n(450nm))와 파장 600nm의 빛에 대한 복굴절의 값 (△n(600nm))와의 비 (△n(450nm)/△n(600nm))가 1.14에서 1.30인 액정표시 소자용 보상판.
    (Ⅰ)
    (식중 X 및 Y는 각각 수소원자, Cl, Br 또는 탄소수 1에서 4의 알킬기를 나타낸다)
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 그 액정성 폴리에스테르가 광학활성기를 포함하는 광학활성인 액정성 폴리에스테르인것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시 소자용 보상판.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 그 액정성 폴리에스테르가 광학활성화합물을 포함하는 고분자 액정조성물인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시 소자용 보상판.
  4. 액정상태에서 비틀림네머틱배향하고 액정전이저이하에서는 유리상태를 나타내고 식(Ⅰ)로 표시되는 4-히드록시 계피산단위를 3에서 40몰% 및 식(Ⅱ)로 표시되는 카테콜단위를 15에서 40몰% 포함하는 액정성폴리에스테르를 배향막상에서 그 폴리에테스테르의 유리전이저이상의 온도에서 열처리한 후 그 폴리에스테르의 유리전 이점이하의 온도로 냉각하여 비틀림네머틱구조를 고정화하고 고정화후의 고분자액정층을 투명기판상에 전사하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시 소자용 보상판의 제조방법.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 그 액정성 폴리에스테르가 광학활성기를 포함하는 광학 활성인 액정성 폴리에스테르인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시 소자용 보상판의 제조방법.
  6. 제4항에 있어서, 그 액정성 폴리에스테르가 광학활성화합물을 포함하는 고분자액정조성물인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시 소자용 보상판의 제조방법.
