Abstract
독립 기포 알케닐 방향족 중합체 발포 충전체 또는 발포 스트랜드를 제조하는 방법이 기술되어 있다. 알케닐 방향족 중합체 재료는 가열되어 응융 중합체 재료를 형성한다. 발포제는 승압에서 용융 중합체 재료 속으로 혼입시켜 발포성 겔을 형성한다. 발포제는 이산화탄소 및 에탄으로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 20중량%이상의 제1발포제를 포함한다. 발포성 겔은 다이를 통해 압출되어 발포 스트랜드를 형성한다. 발포 스트랜드는 임의로 펠릿화되어 다수의 발포체를 형성한다. 발포체는 가열된 공기 또는 중기에 1회 이상 노출되어 추가로 팽창된다. 바람직하게는, 당해 스트랜드 또는 발포체는 후속팽창 이전 및 팽창시간 사이의 미리 선택된 기간동안 시효경화된다. 발포제로서 이산화탄소 및/또는 에탄을 사용하는 경우, 발포체 제조시 통상적으로 사용되며 휘발성 유기 오염물질로서 분류되는 특정 발포제의 사용량을 감소시키거나 이를 사용하지 않아도 된다.

Claims (11)
- a)50중량% 이상의 알케닐 방향족 단량체 단위를 포함하는 알케닐 방향족 중합체 재료를 가열하여 용융 중합체 재료를 형성시키는 단계, b)발포제를 승압하여 용융 중합체 재료 속으로 혼입시켜 발포성 겔을 형성시키는 단계, c)반포성 겔을 다이를 통해 감압대로 압출시켜 알케닐 방향족 중합체 발포 스트랜드(form strand)를 형성시키는 단계 및 d)발포 스트랜드를 펠릿화하여 다수의 개별 발포체를 형성시키는 단계를 포함하여 개별 독립 기포 알케닐 방향족 중합체 발포 충전체를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 발포제가 이산화탄소, 에탄 및 이들의 호합물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 제1발포제를, 발포제의 총 중량을 기준으로 하여, 20중량% 이상 함유하며, 발포제가 가열된 공기 또는 중기에 1회 이상 노출됨으로써 추가로 팽창됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 발포 충전체가 펠릿화 이후와 후속의 팽창기간 사이의 미리 선택된 기간동안 공기 속에서 시효경화되는 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 발포제가 물을 포함하는 제2발포제를 포함하는 방법.
- a)50중량% 이상의 알케닐 방향족 단량체 단위를 포함하는 알케닐 방향족 중합체 재료를 가열하여 용융 중합체 재료를 형성시키는 단계, b)발포제를 승압하여 용융 중합체 재료 속으로 혼입시켜 발포성 겔을 형성시키는 단계, c)발포성 겔을 다이를 통해 압출시켜 필수적으로 연속적인 발포성 겔 스트랜드를 형성시키는 단계, d)발포성 겔 스트랜드를 젤릿화하여 다수의 개별 겔 스트랜드를 형성시키는 단계 및 e)다수의 개별 겔 스트랜드를 감압대에서 팽창시켜 다수외 개별 발포체를 형성시키는 단계를 포함하여 개별 독립 기포 알케닐 방항족 중합체 발포 충전체를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 발포제가 이산화탄소, 에탄 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 제1발포제를, 발포제의 총 중량을 기준으로 하여, 20중량% 이상 함유하며, 발포제가 가열된 공기 또는 증기에 1회 이상 노출됨으로써 추가로 팽창됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- a)50중량% 이상의 알케닐 방향족 단량체 단위를 포함하는 알케닐 방향족 중합체 재료를 가열하여 용융 중합체 재료를 형성시키는 단계, b)발포제를 승압하여 용융 중합체 재료 속으로 혼입시켜 발포성 겔을 형성시키는 단계, C)발포성 겔을 다이를 통해 감압대로 압술시켜 알케닐 방향족 중합체 발포 스트랜드를 형성시키는 단계, d)발포 스트랜드를 젤릿화하여 다수의 개별 발포체를 형성시키는 단계 및 e)발포체를 성형 및 합체하여 제품을 형성시키는 단계를 포함하여 개별 독릴 기포 알케닐 방향족 중합체 발포 충전체로 이루어진 제품을 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 발포제가 이산화탄소, 에탄 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택된 제1발포제를, 발포제의 총 중량을 기준으로 하여, 20중량% 이상 함유하며, 발포제가 성형 및 합체되기 전에 가열된 공기 또는 증기에 1회 이상 노출됨으로써 추가로 팽창됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 발포 충전체가 펠릿화 이후와 성형 및 합체되어 제품을 형성하기 이전의 후속의 팽창기간 사이의 미리 선택된 기간동안 공기 속에서 시효경화되는 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 발포체의 밀도가 16kg/m3미만인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 알케닐 방향족 중합체 재료의 유리전이온도가 110℃ 이하인 방법.
- a)50중량% 이상의 알케닐 방향족 단량체 단위를 포함하는 알케닐 방향족 중합체 재료를 가열하여 용융 중합체 재료를 형성시키는 단계, b)발포제를 승압하여 용융 중합체 재료 속으로 혼입시켜 발포성 겔을 형성시키는 단계, c)발포성 겔을 다이를 통해 감압대로 압출시켜 필수적으로 연속적인 발포 스트랜드를 형성시키는 단계 및 d)연속 발포 스트랜드를 간헐적으로 절단하여 다수의 개별 발포 스트랜드를 형성시키는 단계를 포함하여 개별 독립 기포 알케닐 방향족 중합체 발포 스트랜드를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 발포제의 총 중량을 기준으로 하여 20중량% 이상의 제1발포제가 이산화탄소, 에탄 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택되며, 연속 발포 스트랜드가 절단되기 전에, 가열된 공기 또는 중기에 노출됨으로써 추가로 팽창됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- a)50중량% 이상의 알케닐 방향족 단량체 단위를 포함하는 알케닐 방향족 중합체 재료를 가열하여 용융 중합체 재료를 형성시키는 단계, b)발포제를 승압하여 용융 중합체 재료 속으로 혼입시켜 발포성 겔을 형성시키는 단계, c)발포성 겔을 다이를 통해 감압대로 압출시켜 필수적으로 연속적인 발포 스트랜드를 형성시키는 단계 및 d)연속 발포 스트랜드를 간헐적으로 절단하여 다수의 개별 발포 스트랜스를 형성시키는 단계를 포함하여 개별 독립 기포 알케닐 방향족 중합체 발포 스트랜드를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 발포제의 총 중량을 기준으로 하여 20중량% 이상의 제1발포제가 이산화탄소, 에탄 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택되며, 개별 발포 스트랜드가 가열된 공기 또는 중기에 노출됨으로써 추가로 팽창됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
