Abstract
본 발명의 목적은 샘플링비율의 고속화에 수반하는 비디오라인의 전위흔들림을 억제한다.
그 구성은 액티브 매트릭스 표시장치는 행형태의 게이트선(X)과, 열형태의 신호선(Y)과, 양자의 교차부에 배치된 행렬형태의 액정화소(LC)를 갖추고 있다. V드라이버(1)는 각 게이트선(X)을 순차 주사하고 일수평기간마다 일행분의 액정화소 (LC)를 선택한다. H드라이버(4)는 각 신호선(Y)에 대하여 영상신호(VSIG)를 샘플링하고, 일수평기간 내에 선택된 일행분의 액정화소(LC)에 영상신호(VSIG)를 기입한다. 프리차지수단(5)은 일행분의 액정화소(LC)에 대하여 영상신호(VSIG)를 기입직전에 각 신호선(Y)에 소정의 프리차지신호(VPS)를 공급한다. 이것에 의해 영상신호 (VSIG)를 샘플링할 때 각 신호선(Y)의 충방전량을 저감화 할 수 있고, 비디오라인 (2)의 전위흔들림을 억제가능하게 한다.

제1도는 본 발명에 관계되는 액티브 매트릭스 표시장치의 제1실시예를 나타내는 회로도이다.
Claims (6)
- 행형태의 게이트선과, 열형태의 신호선과, 양자의 각 교차부에 배치된 행렬형태의 화소와, 각 게이트선을 순차 주사하여 일수평기간마다 일행분의 화소를 선택하는 수직주사회로와, 각 신호선에 대하여 영상신호를 샘플링하여 일수평기간 내에 선택된 일행분의 화소에 영상신호를 기입하는 수평주사회로와를 가지는 액티브 매트릭스 표시장치이며, 일행분의 화소에 대하여 영상신호를 기입하기 직전에 각 신호선에 소정의 프리차지신호를 공급하는 프리차지수단을 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스 표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프리차지수단은 백색레벨과 흑색레벨사이에서 변화하는 영상 신호에 대하여 회색레벨을 가지는 프리차지신호를 공급하도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스 표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프리차지수단은 일수평기간마다 반전하는 영상신호에 대하여 극성일 일치시키기 때문에 같은 일수평기간마다 반전하는 프리차지신호를 공급하도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스 표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프리차지수단은 수평주사회로와는 별개로 설치되며, 각 신호선의 단부에 접속한 복수의 스위칭소자와, 각 스위칭소자를 일제로 개폐하여 프리차지신호를 각 신호선에 인가하는 제어수단으로 이루도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스 표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프리차지수단은 수평주사회로와 일체로 설치되며 각 신호선의 단부에 접속한 복수의 스위칭소자와, 기입시 각 스위칭소자를 순차 개폐하여 대응하는 신호선에 영상신호를 샘플링하는 한편, 기입직전 각 스위칭소자를 일제로 개폐하여 영상신호의 일부에 포함되는 프리차지신호를 각 신호선에 인가하는 제어수단으로 이루어지도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스 표시장치.
- 행형태의 게이트선과, 열형태의 신호선과, 양자의 각 교차부에 배치된 행열형태의 화소를 가지는 액티브 매트릭스 표시장치의 구동방법이며, 각 게이트선을 순차 주사하여 일수평기간마다 일행분의 화소를 선택하는 수직주사와, 각 신호선에 대하여 영상신호를 순차 샘플링하여 일수평기간 내에 선택된 일행분의 화소에 영상신호를 기입하는 수평주사와, 일행분의 화소에 대하여 영상신호를 기입하기 직전 각 신호선에 소정의 프리차지신호를 일제로 공급하는 프리차지와를 행하도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브 매트릭스 표시장치의 구동방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
