Abstract

본 발명은 주쇄가 요소결합 및 아미드결합에 의해 형성되는 특정한 중합체를 보유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정배향막에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 액정배향막은 그 제조시 고온의 열처리를 필요로 하지 않으며, 150℃정도 이상의 온도에서 충분하므로, 제조가 용이하며 또 다른 소자재료를 손상할 우려가 없고, 기판으로서 글라스기판 뿐만아니라 내열성이 낮은 플라스틱 등도 사용할 수 있다. 그래서 그 액정배향막은 액정배향성, 내열성, 투명성, 강도, 기판과의 밀착성 등 여러 특성이 우수하며, 특히 높고 또한 안정성이 좋은 프리틸트각을 제공하므로, 본 발명의 액정표시소자는 특히 STN 방식의 액정표시소자에 매우 유리하게 사용할 수 있다.

Claims (4)

  1. 폴리요소계 반복구조단위 및 폴리아미드계 반복구조단위를 동일분자중에 포함하고 있는 중합체를 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정배향막.
  2. 하기 일반식(I)
    (R1-NHCONH-R2-NHCONH) (I)
    (식중 R1은 2가의 유기기 또는 단결합, R2는 2가의 유기기를 나타낸다)로 표시되는 반복구조단위 및 하기 일반식(Ⅱ)
    (식중 R3은 4가의 유기기, R4는 2가의 유기기를 나타낸다)로 표시되는 반복구조단위를 동일 분자중에 포함하고 있는 중합체를 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정배향막.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기한 일반식(Ⅱ)에 있어서, R4가 하기 일반식(Ⅲ)으로 표시되는 치환기를 1개이상 보유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정배향막.
    -X-R5-R6(Ⅲ)
    (식중 X는 2가의 연결기 또는 단결합, R5는 2가의 유기기 또는 단결합, R6는 탄소수 12이상의 알킬기 또는 탄소수 1이상의 플르오르알킬기를 나타낸다)
  4. 제1항 내지 3항에 기재된 액정배향막을 보유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
