Abstract

본 발명은 고해상도 디지탈 비디오 테이프 레코더(VTR)용 신호 처리 시스템은 고해상도 비디오 신호로서 테이프상에 기록된 비교된 낮은 해상도 비디오 신호로서 테이프상에 기록된 비교적 낮은 해상도 비디오 신호를 생성하도록 고해상도 비디오 신호를 처리하는 회로를 포함한다. 저해상도 비디오 신호는 인터-프레임 기술을 이용하여 인코드되며, 테이프 트랙의 소정의 위치에서 나타나는 고정길이 세그먼트로 기록된다. 다른 프레임의 영상을 나타내는 저해 삼도 세1먼트는 트릭플레이 모드에서 디스플레이 하기에 적합한 영상을 발생하도록 복구 및 합성된다. 정상 플레이 모드시, 고해상도 영상을 나타내는 데이타 스트림은 연속으로 복구된다. 따라서, 이러한 고해상도 영상을 예정 코딩 기술 및 인터프레임 기술을 이용하여 인코드 된다.

제4도는 제3도에 도시된 처리 시스템을 사용하여 데이타가 인코딩되는 테이프로부터 디스플레이용 데이타를 회수 하는데 사용하기 적합한 회로의 블럭도,
제5도는 제3도에 도시된 회로에 의해 발생된 인터리빙된 데이타 스트림의 구조를 도시한 타이밍도,
제6도는 트릭-플레이 모드의 비디오 헤드의 주사 경로를 도시하며 제3도에 도시된 회로를 사용하여 만들어진 테이프 세그먼트의 그래프도.

Claims (11)

  1. 디지탈 비디오 테이프 레코더(VTR)에 의해 테이프상에 기록된 신호를 발생하도록 비디오 영상 정보를 나타내는 신호를 처리하여 상기 VTR이 트릭 플레이 모더에서 동작하는 경우 상기 기록된 신호에서 영상이 디스플레이되게한 신호 처리 장치에 있어서, 비교적 고해상도 비디오 영상을 나타내는 제1데이타 스트림을 제공하는 수단; 상기 고해상도 영상의 비교적 낮은 해상도 버전을 나타내는 세그먼트형 제2데이타 스트림을 발생하도록 상기 제1데이타 스트링을 압축하는 데이타 압축 수단을 포함하는데, 상기 제2데이타 스트림의 각각의 세그먼트는 임의의 다른 세그먼트와 무관하게 확장되며; 고해상도 영상을 나타내는 제1세트의 데이타 세그먼트를 생성하도록 제1데이타 스트림을 세그먼팅하는 수단; 및 상기 VTR에 의해 기록될 신호를 생성하도록 상기 제1 및 제2의 데이타 스트림을 나타내는 각각의 데이타 세그먼트를 인터리빙하여, 상기 저해상도 데이타 세그먼트에서 기록된 영상 데이타가 트릭 플레이 모드에서 디스플레이 되게 하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2세트에서의 세그먼트가 적당한 정규 간격에서 테이프상에 기록되는 것을 보장하도록 상기 제1 및 제2 세트의 각각의 데이타 세그먼트의 인터리빙 타이밍을 제어하는 수단을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1데이타 스트림을 고해상도 비디오 영상을 나타내는 디지탈 압축식 신호를 포함하며, 상기 데이타 압축 수단은 제2데이타 스트림으로서, 고해상도 비디오 영상의 낮은 해상도 비젼을 나타내는 디지탈 압축식 신호를 발생하도록 압축된 고해상도 비디오 신호를 처리하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 데이타 압축 수단은, 압축된 고해상도 비디오 신호에서 확장된 고해상도 비디오 신호를 발생하는 확장수단; 비교적 저해상도 출력 신호를 발생하도록 낮은 공간 주파수를 가지는 성분과 관련하여 높은 공간 주파수를 가지는 성분을 감쇄시키게끔 확장된 고해상도 비디오 신호를 저하하는 필터링 수단; 및 제2데이타 스트림을 발생하도록 저해상도 출력 신호를 디지탈적으로 압축하는 압축 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1데이타 스트림은 비교적 소량의 데이타에 의해 고해상도 비디오 영상의 공간적 여유 성분을 나타내도록 디지탈적으로 인코드된 비디오 신호를 포함하며, 상기 데이타 압축 수단은 제2 데이타 스트림으로서 고해상도 비디오 영상의 낮은 해상도 버전을 나타내는 다른 디지탈 인코드 신호를 발생하도록 인코드 비디오 신호를 처리하는 수단을 포함하며, 상기 저해상도 비디오 영상의 공간적 여유성분을 비교적 소량의 데이타로 인코드되는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 데이타 압축 수단은, 고해상도 비디오 영상의 고해상도 성분과 관련하여 그 저해상도 성분을 앰퍼사이즈 하도록 제1데이타 스트림을 공간적으로 디코딩하는 수단; 및 상기 부분적으로 디코드된 제1데이타 스트림을 디지탈적으로 인코딩하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1데이타 스트림은 비교적 소향의 데이타에 의해 고해상도 비디오 영상의 공간적 여유성분 및 일시적 용장 성분을 나타내도록 디지탈적으로 인코드된 비디오 데이타를 포함하며; 상기 데이타 압축수단을 제2 데이타 스트림으로서 고해상도 비디오 영상의 저해상도 버전을 나타내는 다른 디지탈 인코드 신호를 처리하는 수단을 포함하는데, 상기 저해상도 비디오 영상의 공간적 용장 성분은 비교적 소량의 데이타로 인코드 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 데이타 압축 수단은, 공간적 용장도를 감소시키도록 압축된 데이타를 확장하고, 일시적 용장도를 감소시키도록 압축된 데이타를 확장시키도록 상기 제1데이타 스트림을 부분적으로 디코딩하는 수단을 포함하는데, 영상의 비교적 낮은 공간 주파수 성분을 나타내는 데이타 값의 확장이 영상의 비교적 높은 공간 주파수 성분을 나타내는 성분에 비해 향사되며, 제2데이타 스트림을 발생하도록 부분적으로 디코드된 제1데이타 스트림을 디지탈적으로 인코딩하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 제1데이타 스트림은 이산 코사인 변형을 이용하여 인코드된 비디오 데이타를 포함하며; 상기 데이타 압축수단은 인코드 데이타 스트림의 높은 공간 주파수를 나타내는 성분에 비해 비교적 낮은 공간 주파수 성분을 엘퍼사이즈 하는 역 이산코사인 변형을 이용하여 제1데이타 스트림에서 비디오 데이타를 디코딩하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
  10. 디지탈 비디오 테이프 레코더(VTR)에 의해 테이프상에 기록된 신호를 발생하도록 비디오 영상 정보를 나타내는 신호를 처리하여 상기 VTR이 트릭플레이 모드에서 동작하는 경우 상기 기록된 신호에서 영상이 디스플레이 되게 한 신호 처리 장치에 있어서, 비교적 높은 해상도 비디오 영상을 나타내는 제1데이타 스트림을 제공하는 수단; 고해상도 비디오 영상의 비교적 낮은 해상도 버젼을 나타내는 제2데이타 스트림을 발생하도록 비교적 낮은 공간 주파수 성분을 가지는 고해상도 비디오 영상의 부분을 나타내는 제1데이타 스트림의 다른 성분에 비해 비교적 높은 공간주파수를 가지는 고해상도 비디오 영상의 부분을 나타내는 제1데이타 스트림의 성분을 감쇄시키게끔 제1데이타 스트림을 처리하는 필터일 수단; 고해상도 비디오 영상을 나타내는 압축된 제1데이타 스트림을 발생하도록 제1데이타 스트림을 처리하는 제1데이타 압축 수단; 비교적 낮은 해상도 비디오 영상을 나타내는 압축된 제2데이타 스트림을 발생하도록 제2데이타 스트림을 처리하는 제2데이타 압축수단; 고해상도 영상을 나타내는 제1세트의 데이타 세그먼트를 발생하도록 압축된 제1데이타 스트림을 세그먼팅하는 수단 비교적 낮은 영상을 나타내는 제2세트의 데이타 세그먼트를 발생하도록 압축된 제2데이타 스트림을 세그먼팅하는 수단 및; 상기 제1 및 제2세트의 각각의 데이타 세그먼트를 인터리빙하여 기록된 저해상도 데이타 세그먼트가 트립플레이 모드에서디스플레이 되게 하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 상기 제1데이타 압축수단은 고해상도 비디오 영상의 공간적 용장성분 및 일시적 용장성분을 나타내는데 사용된 데이타를 감소시키도록 제1데이타 스트림을 처리하며; 상기 제2데이타 압축수단을 저해상도 비디오 영상의 단지 공간적 용장성분만을 감소시키도록 제2데이타 스트림을 처리하는 것을 특징으로 하는 신호 처리 장치.
